She asked the owner of the store what to do with them and the owner told her to 'throw those in the dumpster outside!'. I live in what s often called 'The Bible Belt; of the USA. Many have strong views of what they believe is proper even if it does not exist in the Bible. For a long time if I ever saw a woman in some nice, stylish boots, when I talked to her I would learn she was from out of town. I have seen it changing slowly over the last few years with more women wearing boots (only in the fall and winter)but the nice outfits you have shown would likely upset most people. I really do enjoy your videos.

About the leather and the staining. What you are referring to is called "wicking" Basically the leather is kind of unfinished, and if you wear with another leather that is similar, there can be a transfer of the dye. You will get this a lot with some better lambskin. I have had Ralph Lauren skirts or pants that have suffered from this and even have a nice Calvin Klein rear-zip leather top that unfortunately picked up some pink and red. You can try first before wearing using a leather protector spray, but test in a hidden area first like inside hem or waist band to see if the color darkens, etc. Unfortunately, this is actually a transfer of dye, so no leather conditioner or cleaner can help it, you would have to send to a professional leather cleaner and they most likely would have to re-dye. It is good to have these type of resources. Similarly be careful storing leather on a rack in sunlight or in a closet similarly. Some semi-aniline lambskin is super soft and silky, but also prone to fading. The same leather cleaners can often re-dye, but the leather is never as soft.

You're right about leather being timeless, but it's also expensive and where I am, it's hard to find at retail. Most of the retail stores where I live have closed down and if you want leather, you need to buy it online.

I enjoyed creating my own editorials with the styles and one thing I found... some of the models loved the leather, and they were almost transformed and energetic. Others were just meh, and it was just another material like cotton or wool. Basically when it comes to leather, some people get it and are drawn to it, others are not. People also make the mistake with leather and don't understand it is sexy on itself and you do not have to amp it up. In fact, leather is really a luxury material and some of the best looks are relaxed and a nice pair of leather pants with a t-shirt or jumper and just wear like an upscale pair of denim.
