Limerick Legend Breda Hannon
Breda Hannon is a Limerick legend. Breda of Byrne Avenue, Prospect, sadly passed away at the age of 83 and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her incredible character touched everybody that met her. She was an all singing, all dancing cherished member of Friends of the Elderly, Carey's Road, famous for her joyful renditions of songs such as 'Biddy mc Grath', 'Beautiful, Beautiful Munster's' and 'Limerick You're a Lady'. Her son Ger is a former President of Young Munster's and Breda was an avid supporter and well known and loved dearly by both players and supporters alike. I first met Breda while we were filming a documentary about Friends of the Elderly, which you can see at ILoveLimerick.com. We instantly hit it off and I was smitten with her. She was such a smart lady with a killer sense of humour and a shining kind personality.
