If you say that with a Resistance personality chip the droid gets nervous in the First Order area, and A droid with a First Order chip gets upset in the resistance area. So how do they work with the smugglers chip?
Smugglers communicate with everything, helping you get the credits!
Droid Depot droids also interact with the pre made BD droids sold in the Disney Parks and on the Disney online store website.

So me and my sister both have a droid, a BB unit and an R unit. The R unit seems to be interacting with the BB unit, but the BB hasn't made a single sound. why is this? can the two different droids not interact? both remotes are off.
Edit: solved it, just had to do a manual reset!

Yes, you need two droids, both with the remotes off. There are people on facebook who sell devices that will trigger the interaction with a single droid. But it’s much more fun to have two droids!
So do they have like a patrol? I wish to buy a r2 or a bb8 or even a bd1 but I want to know if it can be set to like walk around by itself for fun
Unfortunately, no they don’t have a patrol function, but I wish they did!!

OP 95 so the droids have a battery save mode when they are on there own outside of the land, no way to override as far as I know. As to parts, droid depot does not sell spare parts at this time
So how do you open a b unit? And also how do you now what chip is what side?
You have to twist the shell at the seem to the left. the chip will be viewable once the shell has been split. The action of spiting the shell can be a little tuff.

Beckett Taylor as far as we can identify, it decoration that you don’t see. Some people use them to cover the personality chip, but the chip fits tight and the tube really does nothing

I’m confused so I have a droid and I’m getting a new one so they can’t interact with each other outside of the park?
They absolutely CAN!!! The key is to make sure both of the droids remotes are turned off. They will chat back and forth all day long.

Its not really frying the chip if you can reset it after 10 seconds- Can you clarify?
You are correct! it's not really frying the chip, its its more of creating an error state in the droid. Sam misspoke. If it truly fried the chip, the chip would no longer work again.

Nope! they will communicate with or without any chip!

XxGamerxX 001 you can build droids in both Disneyland and Walt Disney World Hollywood Studios. Both locations are in Batuu “Star Wars land”

The remotes do not have to be off. But the droids do have to recognize each other. But either way remotes on or off has NO effect on them interaction
Unfortunately, the remotes do have to be off. You have two droids so you can check this yourself. If you have two or more droids turned on with remotes on (make sure they are responding by pressing the sound button), they will make noise randomly at about 5 min and again around 10 min. After 10 min, the droids power off and can not be stimulated with the remotes without a power cycle. Note: during this time, you can not touch the remotes. No more sounds will come from the droids. Now, turn on the droids and not the remotes. The droids will go back and forth as often as just over 2 ½ mins and this will go on all day and night until turned off or batteries run out. Note: with remotes on, they will not communicate with each other as they are tethered by the remotes.
The Orlando Wizard that’s just wrong. I have 6 droids and have never needed to turn off remotes to get them to interact. I’ve done experiments in a livestream here on RUclips to show it over a year ago. 🤷🏽♂️ Galaxy's Edge Droid Depot Experiment. Are the droids really interactive?
Thank you “Orlando Wizard!” I just brought home my BB unit yesterday ( from Orlando ) and was so disappointed that it would not interact with my R2 ( also from Orlando last August ). Today I found your video, left my remotes OFF and now they blab to each other every few minutes!
A droid on with remotes on, will shut down after 5 min. Turning the remotes off, changes the droids to Not shut off and will trigger each other and jabber all night. The person with me on this video is a cast member from droid depot. you also state in your videos that they don't interact, so which is it? do they interact or not? Clarify.
hi there when im in orlando this october i be buildin gmy own r2 droid and what i wanting to ask is will the droid actully work in the uk when i take it over on the flight home because if it doesnt work in the uk i will have wasted alot of money on my dream thing to do and wich chip do you recomend i get for the R2
Your droid will work just fine in the UK. I personally got all the chips as they made different sounds and are entertaining! Do yourself a favor and build two droids so they can interact when you get home. experiment with the different chips to see what happens!
Can you take those on the airplane when leaving to Disneyland or leaving Disney World
Yes you can take the droids on an airplane. But it might even be easier and take up less space and a backpack by just shipping it to your home from either Disneyland or Disney World the cost is just under $18.
How do they know where they are in the park? Like they actually react to the location theyre at.
So, each location has a kind of broadcast signal that the droids pickup on and react to.

there is a guy on facebook "father brian" I believe. check out the galaxy's edge pages "smuggler sites". he sells a device that will send out the same signals. He also sells personalities chips that do all kinds of cool things!
never fried my chip the disney cast member put it in when my droid was on nothing went wrong but I've only just got my droid so it might of been an updated unit
It does not always kill the chip, just be aware.
Do they interact when you watch Star Wars with them. I thought mine was but I was with other droids when we watched it.
no, it only reacts in the land and with each other.
Guts, they do Not Interact! Everytime when ohne Talks the random Timer for the Next break Starts a new „Countdown“ - mostly it is around 2 minutes, and After this timeframe he plays antother random gesture. This works only when there are two or more of they in the room. I have 3 R Units and tested it in many different setups - the more druids , the more Action , but no real „Interaktion“. But still, It‘s pure fun!!!
You just proved it yourself by your very own statement! "This works only when there are two or more of they in the room" It would take a form of interaction for this to work. Thank you for proving this! If there is one droid on, after 5 min, it will shut off. If two or more are on, the signal form the other droid keeps them both on and squawking back and forth. This check is an Interaction!

no, it uses normal batteries, not rechargeables.
I only had enough money for 1 got a bb unit. The R unit seem like a is better over all I was trying to drive the bb unit on hard wood he doesn't like that

Each trip to the Droid Depot for Droid building is $100 I assume with or without tax, so around $500-$550.

I would have a question there you know where this droid is built, where the droid is put in what and then a button is pressed that it comes to life so to speak and is in every Disneyland the same parts of the droid are in every Disneyland , because i want to build the black droid wherever you have

both are a blast to build!
My wife and I just came back from Florida where we did this. I was the "only" one who made a dark side saber "power" with a red blade. I felt privileged in that moment.

@@TheOrlandoWizard it was an amazing experience, even though on the pricey side. A little under 250$ after tax. I've heard they dumbed it down a little for "covid times". But I still enjoyed the experience overall. The only thing I didn't like, was how strict they are for the guest you bring with you (my wife) to watch you assemble the saber. If she took even one step forward, there was someone to get after her and get her back in line, so to speak, literally. All she was doing was trying to film the build process I was doing.
Overall a wonderful experience, even given the price. Just know, if you bring a guest, that he or she won't be able to move around for a better view.
