I feel your pain in letting go, Madison, and you have done a great job. While I don’t have clothes from my youth, I do have items that I can get rid of (“All I need to do is lose 10 lbs and it will fit.”) . It’s the shoes that are the hardest because they are in great shape and were not cheap. Glad you kept the hats. I have some vintage hats and while I don’t wear them much, I use them in my room decor . I have 3 metal displays with 3 “heads” where I keep some vintage and hats I do wear and change them for Spring/Summer and Fall /Winter. The rest I keep in hat boxes or a storage container that slides under the bed. Can’t wait to see Part 2.
Thank you! Ah, yes shoes can be tricky, especially with the thought of "what if I will need them" looming about. That is a lovely way to get double use of your hats! I'm still thinking about doing something similar in this room... if I can find the space. 😄
I get the ordering hangers. Thankfully our local thrift shop had hordes of classic wooden suit hangers for cheap. So my hangers now pretty much all match. Nice to see the room coming together.
Quite the beautiful room transformation, Madison! It is so hard to tackle a closet, my least favorite thing to do, the only place in my home that is considered minimalist ha ha I really enjoyed watching you change things up in your room, can’t wait to see the whole thing completed… Much much love to you, my sweet friend!🥰
Thank you! 😊 I'm surprised that your closet would be considered minimalist!. Do you have a specific reason why you dislike decluttering you closet or is it a just general feeling? Sending love and hugs to you too Cindy! 😊🖤
@@uniquelymadison Madison, I should have been more specific my friend. As you know, from following me on Instagram, I have a lot of “stuff!“ ha ha I have three small closets for my clothes, and purposely go through and donate things that I don’t wear. My daughter actually owns a woman’s clothing boutique in west Tennessee… Believe it or not, I am not a close person! My focus goes more on aesthetics in the home… I hope that helps you understand. Sending you very much love again my sweet friend.
This is turning out great, Madison! I can tell it is a LOT of hard work, but it's nice to see the process as well as seeing the room become more you! 😊
Hi Madison! I thoroughly enjoyed watching your video 🩷 I also understand the emotional impact a clean out such as this can have, especially when we have items from our youth! Looking forward to part 2!
Hi Drea! I hope the new year is treating you well so far. I'm so glad you enjoyed my video, and understood how challenging it was. The whole process was so hard but I know it will be rewarding in the end. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. See you next week my friend!
I 100% understand. I have been doing the same this past year and been switching out my hangers as well as organizing and clearing out and slowly decluttering etc , it is an emotional task for sure. I also feel that way about clothing too. Can't wait to see next week's video❤
Thank you! I knew you would understand. 😊 It is painful yet good feeling at the same time. I wish you success in your organizing and decluttering journey too.🖤 Are you still doing renovation on your house? It was a while ago, but I remember you had to tear out the garden, and you were going to redo the bathroom if I recall. Thanks, I hope you like the final product! 🥰
@@uniquelymadison I truly do...and thank you. Yes we did have to gut the front yard and then our fence fell down! So entire yard has been redone but isn't finished. It's slow going .. and still battle the rats ..life in a city. The bathroom is 99% done ... we took a break on renovation because our youngest is opening a restaurant, grand opening Monday! Hubby did all the construction, plumbing, electrical etc and I helped with decor and middle daughter did the art and oldest works the catering portion from time to time. My decluttering project is nearly done ..been sick so no energy to finish for now.. but soon.
Thank you! LOL! Yes, I know. While my Nancy Drew collection is very dear to me, I just didn't like how they clashed with everything else in the room. But don't worry they are still with me, just on another bookshelf. 😊
wow what a transformation
Thanks! 😊
really good! I like the heart behind what you are doing🙂
Thank you so much! 🖤

Love a good room/closet refresh! Looks fantastic! 😍 Can’t wait for part 2!! 😁🙏🏻💕
Indeed! And so far it has actually stayed pretty organized since filming, which is a big plus. 😄
I hope you will enjoy the final result too! 😊🖤

It looks like you are making space with your weeding out, but I was saying, not The Nancy Drews!!! I also like your simple pony tail hair style.
Thank you!
