I think the reason this is so great is the way the end boss just casually sits there. Then this plays as he gets out the chair. Then he starts firing a f*cking machine gun at you. And you know sh!t just got real.
Using Max's atomic drop on Mr X as a finisher was so satisfying. Not only because it meant you'd managed to beat the game but because you'd also managed to somehow avoid his "smash you in the face with the butt of his gun" counter-move.
This music hitting with him standing up and posing with the gun for JUST long enough for you to realize he's holding a freaking gun is such a good way to start the fight
Anybody ever tried beating mr. X on the hardest difficulty, that s*** is insane. When he hit you with the gun that takes up almost all of your health you have to somehow not get hit at all, or just have a decent amount of lives left. I just happen to have a decent amount of Lives left because he was definitely giving me the business with the gun Bash. It literally came down to the wire I had one life left with a pinch of health and if he would have hit me with anything it would have been game over usually I like to finish him with a fancy move but I had to settle for a regular punch
Just finished this game in easy mode through Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection. Pretty good game. Shiva and Mr. X were a bit tough on Easy, but I won just the same.
I'd say that Mr. X is way harder in this game than in the first one. Sure, he does all the same shit, but SOR2's final boss fight with him is somehow more difficult. Maybe it's just because you had to fight Shiva and his cheap-ass AI beforehand, but even on normal mode, this was brutally challenging
mr x can be tough i know its best to hug the corners where he shoots so u might be able to stop him better that way i hated mr x but i hate shiva even more
