Such a useful video!! Thanks! I’ve got about 12 radicchios growing… and now I’m thinking that’s not gonna be enough 😂 totally forgot about grilling or baking them 🤦🏻‍♀️

Great- I thought I had left it too late for a last sowing of carrots! If sown now, when would you expect to be harvesting your carrots Stephanie? Thank you.

Really depends on location and the weather, but between December and February. Carrots sown in September in the polytunnel are usually ready February or March.

Great ideas and suggestions! I hadn’t thought of doing Basil again but makes total sense - will add to my list when it’s raining to plant them up! Managed to do my potatoes today 4 containers with 10 seed potatoes! I did sow carrots a while back but they haven’t come up so may have to do some more! Will check out your website now! Thanks

Great list Stephanie. Definitely trying Radicchios, got some seeds so will be sowing today. Let's hope the rain stops so I can get outside! I've been sowing extra herbs so that's a tick off your list. Carrots have been a bit hit and miss, so will be sowing a few more. Funnily enough it's field voles here that pull up my onions and garlic. Caught them on the wildlife camera as I wanted to see what was doing it. I would never have thought rodents would like the taste!!

We have voles here too! Mice (or quite possibly voles) ate all of my multi-sown onion seedlings in the spring, so I had no onion harvest this year except for salad onions

This is good info but wonder if it isnt at least 3 weeks too late! Yours are already or nearly ready for transplanting.

Not at all late, and most of these (not the bush beans) can be sown in September too unless one lives in an area with very deep cold. Some of the images used in the video are from previous years to illustrate what I mean. Some were sown in mid to late July, because I had the space - unexpected space due to the very odd wet, cool and dark summer - and sowed earlier to fill those gaps. But that does not mean this advice here is "late", it is just that I sowed some earlier as well.
I've been sowing some more seeds these past few days (onions, kale, more radicchio, plus more bush beans for the polytunnel), sowing carrots and radish today and will be sowing again on the 31st for September. I know that isn't quite September, but for the first week when I usually sow September's seeds, I am working away hosting talks and workshops and although my son is good at watering, he isn't much of a fan of sowing.
