We only heard Masaki's voice once back in the early episodes of Bleach. They got the same voice actress to perform her role again after almost 17 years or so!
28:15 the episode when Ishin kills Grand Fisher is not filler. the reason why this episode was marked as mixed canon/filler because three characters from the bount arc appeared in this episode. if you remove three characters from the bount arc, then that episode is full canon.

Yea from a tactical military management perspective, that makes more sense to me. Why take the risk of sending your best healers out there during the attack? Not the wisest thing to do. Since you're not good with full names you miss on key relations such as, Ishhin "Shiba" is uncle of Kukkabu Shiba and Kaien Shiba (Rukia's Mentor who looked like ichigo) they're all second cousins.
Aizen 'let's see what happens' Kaname 'it's a failure' Y'all: AIZEN PLANNED IT ALL!! Make it make sense lol. Imo this obvious randomness that Aizen then had to account for & work around, makes things way more interesting. Him & Kisuke playing chess with Ichigo the whole time & their struggle, also by chance, prepping Ichigo for his true final enemies.
When this aired someone said “ *Ichigo basically had powers cause his momma got Hollow Rabies* “ and I can’t unthink it 😂😂😂😂😂 Also the soundtrack for that fight was *GOD TIER* !!!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Guys, his father's name is Ishin Shiba, and several episodes ago, kukaku shiba mentioned the word "uncle", she meant Ishin, so she and Ganju Shiba are cousins...
I expected her to be like orahime but godamn she is too much of a badass😂,her charecter leans more toward orahime than rukai(i see why ichigo chose orahime in the end❤)
@Gerdan Bombales I suppose to clarify on what I meant, Aizen may have played a significant role in how Ichigo's parents ended up together, but I'm saying that Urahara is the one who actually established a plan of action that would actually "force" them into a stronger position to enter a romantic relationship and form a family. Hence when I say he gets the "ultimate credit", I'm not discrediting Aizen's role in any of it, but am rather saying something like, Urahara gets the "final" or essential credit for it.
Yes Rock... you are right... AFTER coming back from soul society the first time... BEFORE the arrancar arc... The grand fisher became a new low level arrancar and ichigo's dad killed him... that was when we discovered Ichigo's dad was a shinigami...
anime cut out a bunch of tidbits of cool info. The cloaks aizen and co were wearing were the spiritual pressure concealing cloaks urahara used in the vizard flashback so he stole all his shit after he got him kicked out. Thats why isshin couldn't sense them behind him. Gemischt quincy are mixed blood. Echt quincy are pure blood. The gemischt quincy are seen as less pure so they're relegated to being maids and shit. and marrying ryuken and masaki was so important since they're both pure. It's the reason why ishida's dad calls himself the last quincy. ichigo and uryu are impure mixed bloods cause ryuken got with the maid who is mixed herself.
5:16 "He never correctly bonded with it" thats actually not quite it. Ichigo didn't "never bond with it". He never had one to begin with. The sword that Ichigo used was only something resembling a Zanpakto. It wasn't actually one.
I mean, I would actually agree with them, because the power that he was using that whole time was established to be part of his entire Zanpakuto, like a weird hybrid.
@@kmgyening Spoiler for those that haven't finished episode 13!!!! Well, not quite. The power he was using was his shinigami powers. It wasn't his Zanpakuto. A zanpakuto is forged specifically by the blade god (forgot his name right now) and doesn't exist just due to the existence of a soul reaper. The argument could be made, that it was a faux Zanpakuto, because as the blade god stated in a later episode himself, the process with which White (which we know is Ichigo's shinigami powers fused with the hollow later on) was created was very similar to the process with which a Zanpakuto is created. Still, he never had a true Zanpakuto, as that had to have been a sword made by the blade god. Which he didn't.
@Jaeric I think I understand the distinction you're making when you say, "soul reaper powers". But I don't think he wasn't ever using his Zanpakuto, if we're taking Oh-Etsu's later statement and Ichigo's follow-up inner commentary into account. He claims that the blades that Ichigo wields right after they're forged are Zangetsu, and Ichigo reflects on one blade as "Old Man Zangetsu", and the other as his inner hollow, and concludes that they're both (part of) him. And in the manga, we see both beliefs/conclusions manifest in a much later scene that I don't want to spoil. So what I'm saying is that, at least in Ichigo's case, he had been using some of his Zanpakuto powers, even if he hadn't been using his distinctly soul reaper powers (honestly I'm inclined to believe that there was some overlap/bleed over, in the context of the four categories of abilities that Soul Reapers are able to use).
Isshin killed Grand Fisher when he made his reveal as a soul reaper. Probably the reason you guys weren’t sure is because Grand Fisher was newly turned into an Arrancar so he looked different from before. Plus it was our first look at an Arrancar. So the fact that it was the hollow that killed Masaki was overshadowed a bit.
As a commander of a military organization, ideally, I don't think you want to put your medics in a combat situation if you don't have to, especially if they don't function regularly as combatants. I think that would run counter to maximizing your medical resources.
Masaki and Ryuken are not cousins. I'm not sure if its a foreign concept for people in the West but the terms like aunty, uncle (even grandpa and grandma) are also used to simply refer to someone who's much older than us, instead of using Mr, Mrs. Its something very common in Asia. It doesnt even have to be someone of close relation. From where i come from, even someone you dont even know like a stranger walking down the street or the cashier at the convenient store are refer to as aunty, uncle.
I know its unrelated but your breif mention of filler while talking about Grand Fisher made me remember Kubo's weird decision to write dozens of stories like Ulquiorra's past and such that are called "filler" sometimes purely because they aren't in either the anime or manga. I always found that odd lol
yea sometimes its a little simpler than what we think ahah basically the scientifically created hollow bit ichigo's mom and just like a vampire movie cliche she carried some of that in her blood which in thus after having a baby, ichigo, he carried that got that "gene" which is why when we saw his full hollowfication is why they look exactly the same
I just want to clarify that Masaki is not related to the Ishida family at all, she was took in to live with with them because she was a quincy and the only surviving member of her family and because they wanted to keep the bloodline pure. The reason she would have called the mother Aunt would have most likey just been a respect thing.
Masaki isnt related to Ishidas family. The only reason they took her in is because she was the last member of her family and also a pure/full blooded quincy. She called her aunty out of respect. Also there are no branches. Echt Quincies = Pure blooded quincies. Gemischt = mixed.
*"You don't know anything about yourself "* Gee if only his dumbass father had actually TOLD HIM THE TRUTH INSTEAD OF SITTING ON IT FOR LITERALLY YEARS!!!!!! Love how Isshin tries to act serious here when its purely HIS fault that Ichigo was STILL ignorant to the truth and especially when Ichigo was so mature during the Aizen fight that he would wait for his dad to tell the truth....... But this arc just proved that despite Ichigo's trust Isshin NEVER had the intention of telling the truth if it weren't for the Quincy war.... What a prick
they aren't cousins, he said they adopted her into the family and she was gonna become an Ishida through marriage, there are actually many cultures in real life that call close family friends who are adults aunty/uncle
@12:45. go back & properly read the subtitles. They're not related. The Kurosaki line got wiped out leaving Masaki as the only survivor which is why The Ishida family took her( a pure blood Quincy) in to hopefully have an arranged marriage with Ryuken. they're from separate families. Masaki calls her "aunt" out of respect not because she's directly blood related.
I still don't understand where the whole "Aizen is a grand mastermind that fabricated everything from Ichigo's creation up to their fight" theory comes from and I especially don't understand how anyone can still believe in that stuff after seeing this episode. Aizen didn't create Ichigo. Its like saying someone that accidentally kicked an acorn into a whole is the creator of that tree. It was a coincidence. An accident. White just so happened to be active in an area that Ishin got reports for. And it just so happened that Ishin read the report and decided to go there at that time. It was also a coincidence, that Ishin and Masaki met, same goes with the fact that White transferred his hollowness onto Masaki. Then there is the coincidence that Aizen was there to check up on white at the exact time this happened, him seeing the scene unfold and deciding to let it go came afterwards. It was ALSO a coincidence, that Masaki was a woman and not a man AND that she was actually the kind of person that Ishin would fall in love with. Every, single, thing about this is a coincidence. Aizen lit his cigarette near a forest and everyone claims he is an arsonist.
Aizen was trying to lure in soul reapers because that's what white was designed to do. Infect soul reapers. They were trying to lure in a captain level to test white on. Isshin just happened to be that captain. It didn't matter which captain it was. The part where aizen started controlling ichigos destiny is when he allowed white to bite/infect masaki. He knew isshin for years and knew his personality. Once masaki got bit he obviously kept eyes on her to see what would happen. He saw isshin save her and figured they would be together and probathave a child. Once that happened he could actually start controlling the events surrounding Ichigo
@@toshiro-kano That's cool and all. And I pretty much knew this already, but that doesn't change the fact that Ichigo's creation was entirely coincidental. Knowing someones character means nothing when so many coincidences pile up. We also know that Aizen didn't plan for one of Ichigo's most character building moments. His mothers death. And we haven't really been shown much of any sign of Aizen actually actively doing anything to steer Ichigo's life. If Aizen were able to plan all of this out and had actually done so, he would not have lost.
@@TheJanstyler he planned everything after he knew she was pregnant. "Aizen wouldn't have lost" Things don't always go to plan. Aizen is smart but he isn't a god. He is wrong sometimes. He underestimated ichigos powers and overestimated his own. Also he didn't know about Ulquiorras second release or that Ichigo went full hollow against him.
Uryu (ishida) isn't related to Ichigo. Masaki calls her "auntie" because that's just a common thing in Asian cultures. It's not literal. I mean yes technically all Quincy are related but it's like all humans are technically related if you go back far enough. Also aizen didn't know it plan anything up until masaki and isshin became a couple. Once masaki showed up in that fight and then got bit, that's all he was planning at that point. He just wanted to see what would happen with a Quincy being infected instead of a shinigami. So obviously he was keeping watch and.... Well spoilers. Also it WAS grand fisher that ichigos dad killed. It was at the very beginning of the arrancar arc (I think) and grand fisher had been turned into an arrancar and ichigos dad killed him.
We only heard Masaki's voice once back in the early episodes of Bleach. They got the same voice actress to perform her role again after almost 17 years or so!
She was also worried if she could play a teenager at her age but she did extremely well.

I really love ishidas mom... Katagiri!! even though she only had short appearance in the whole series... Shes very beautiful! just like Uryu😆 Also its funny how Masaki looks exactly like Orihime with short hair... Which is Ichigos love interest😅
29:00 Mans trying to take credit from aizen, how many inventions and discoveries in human history do you think happened by accident and people discovered them while trying to do something else? And they still got credit for it because it doesn't matter if you do something by choice or by accident, you still did it.
Inventions are based on accident. That is true. But nobody claims they created the accident. They build upon the idea. Aizen didn't create Ichigo.
Since you're not good with full names you miss on key relations such as,
Ishhin "Shiba" is uncle of Kukkabu Shiba and Kaien Shiba (Rukia's Mentor who looked like ichigo) they're all second cousins.
Ichigo ending racism by being of all the races
Don't you know? Mixed folks aren't accepted by anyone lol
there was never an issue of racism in this universe, they ain't got time for that shit anyway.
@@kaelinvictus6039 Its just a joke bro i know
@@kaelinvictus6039 Sajin Komamura would like to disagree.
@@TheJanstyler sure, that's the main focus of the main story. Always has been.
Aizen 'let's see what happens'
Kaname 'it's a failure'
Y'all: AIZEN PLANNED IT ALL!!
Make it make sense lol. Imo this obvious randomness that Aizen then had to account for & work around, makes things way more interesting. Him & Kisuke playing chess with Ichigo the whole time & their struggle, also by chance, prepping Ichigo for his true final enemies.
Lmao. Facts bro. We just meming
19:48 damn, Ichigo's mom is a badass
That was in fact grand fisher that Ichigo's dad body when he first showed up as a soul reaper
that aizen dude really said "wait kaname, let her cook"
Misaki was a baddie and a badass, and caring mother too. 🙏
Aizen basically told Tosen: "Hol up, Let me cook"
The results: he got overcooked himself baking Ichigo
When this aired someone said “ *Ichigo basically had powers cause his momma got Hollow Rabies* “ and I can’t unthink it 😂😂😂😂😂
Also the soundtrack for that fight was *GOD TIER* !!!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Aizen is literally a shipper. Tosen was like "K, I'll take care of her-" Aizen be like "No, I ship it"
The guy at the end looking at Uryu is Haschwalt. The same guy that broke Ichigo's zanpakuto in Soul Society.
28:46 his dad killed grand fisher but at that time grand fisher was an arrancarish thing
His niece was also using fire.
Love your reactions guys! Keep it up.😊
The big takeaway from this episode is that Ichigo’s mom was an absolute baddie.
Hope this cour wants them to want the other's cour more.
This was beautiful
Guys, his father's name is Ishin Shiba, and several episodes ago, kukaku shiba mentioned the word "uncle", she meant Ishin, so she and Ganju Shiba are cousins...
This is how you do flashbacks!!
I love Bleach!!! Everything but the Rain into the The Blade is me😢😢😢 perfection to me❤😭😭😭 tugged at my heart strings fr
ily lee!! tysm for the amazing content :)
No problem!!
I expected her to be like orahime but godamn she is too much of a badass😂,her charecter leans more toward orahime than rukai(i see why ichigo chose orahime in the end❤)
Bruh Aizen is basically the ultimate shipper and Ichigo's godfather lol.
Eh, I give Urahara the ultimate credit for that. He's the one that came up with the gigai and soul bonding mechanism.
@@kmgyening Well you can have 2
@Gerdan Bombales I suppose to clarify on what I meant, Aizen may have played a significant role in how Ichigo's parents ended up together, but I'm saying that Urahara is the one who actually established a plan of action that would actually "force" them into a stronger position to enter a romantic relationship and form a family. Hence when I say he gets the "ultimate credit", I'm not discrediting Aizen's role in any of it, but am rather saying something like, Urahara gets the "final" or essential credit for it.
3:10 can't wait for the upcoming fights of Zaraki, man I just know everything will go crazy
Peak anime...peak manga...
Now you know when Aizen said he's been watching Ichigo from birth, he wasn't bluffing.
15:35 Making a Kingdom Hearts reference in the middle of a Bleach reaction! I knew I liked you guys for a reason
Yeaaaaaa haha
Yes Rock... you are right...
My guy Jugram is here to recruit Uryuu
Epic kabedon in this episode
Isshin killed Grand Fisher when he made his reveal as a soul reaper. Probably the reason you guys weren’t sure is because Grand Fisher was newly turned into an Arrancar so he looked different from before. Plus it was our first look at an Arrancar. So the fact that it was the hollow that killed Masaki was overshadowed a bit.
As a commander of a military organization, ideally, I don't think you want to put your medics in a combat situation if you don't have to, especially if they don't function regularly as combatants. I think that would run counter to maximizing your medical resources.
Ichigos dad's name is ishin, and yes, he did kill the grand fisher.
7:50 regular people shouldn't be able to see it btw
Masaki and Ryuken are not cousins. I'm not sure if its a foreign concept for people in the West but the terms like aunty, uncle (even grandpa and grandma) are also used to simply refer to someone who's much older than us, instead of using Mr, Mrs. Its something very common in Asia. It doesnt even have to be someone of close relation. From where i come from, even someone you dont even know like a stranger walking down the street or the cashier at the convenient store are refer to as aunty, uncle.
So excited for the next two episodes!!
Calling non-relatives uncle or aunt is a common thing here in Asia.
Facts
Yeah Ichigo's boys doesn't have a thing for him or anything. She's just being the mom she is and trying to help a kid.
Ichigo is basically ultimate breed by been Hollow, Quincy and Soul Reaper.
I know its unrelated but your breif mention of filler while talking about Grand Fisher made me remember Kubo's weird decision to write dozens of stories like Ulquiorra's past and such that are called "filler" sometimes purely because they aren't in either the anime or manga. I always found that odd lol
yea sometimes its a little simpler than what we think ahah
basically the scientifically created hollow bit ichigo's mom and just like a vampire movie cliche she carried some of that in her blood which in thus after having a baby, ichigo, he carried that got that "gene" which is why when we saw his full hollowfication is why they look exactly the same
Was Fisher in Arrancar form
Ichigo's dad kill him around chapter 115
Only thing they messed up on was Isshin's blood fire attack, you can't really make out anything of the attack here.
20:07 AYOO😂
It was grand fisher that ichigo’s dad bodied btw
Bleach is just fantastic cinema.
*"You don't know anything about yourself "*
Gee if only his dumbass father had actually TOLD HIM THE TRUTH INSTEAD OF SITTING ON IT FOR LITERALLY YEARS!!!!!!
I’m not expecting any more of Isshin in this season 😂
THE MUSIIIIIIIIC
Ichigo became a group project 😭
@12:45. go back & properly read the subtitles.
Aizen shipped these two and played matchmaker😂 Aizen is Ichigo's real daddy confirmed😂
"Aizen wouldn't have lost"
Things don't always go to plan.
