Negotiating for a Vintage Pokemon Card Collection!

- Another weekend, Another local card show! Today we take the POV cam to Hickory, North Carolina for an Inside Pitch Promotions Toy and Card Vendor Show! This video highlights an e-Reader vintage Pokémon Card Binder I acquired and all the negotiation it took to get to the deal! It took over 30 minutes to go get an agreeable situation for both parties but we made it! Sometimes transactions are short and sweet and sometimes they take quite some time for the buyer and seller to come to terms. The wait was definitely worth it because the contents of this WOTC binder is now in my possession and I can't wait to fill my binders with the cards!

I definitely appreciate the deal dude! Everyone has an opinion online so take it all with a grain of salt. I needed a chunk of them and they are now all tucked away in my Expedition binder with the rest ready to trade off to locals! Good luck with future vending and I will most likely see ya at another show!

I just wanted a ballpark number he was thinking so I had something to work with ha. Once the app came out showing $500 plus I knew we were way off and had to just make an offer.

This deal definitely took awhile ha. It was a big ask working a big deal on the fly. I think he was just mainly indecisive on value so took some time.
@GrimHorizonTV I suppose being put on the spot doesn't help,I would have been struggling to lol. I'd be trying to figure out what is a good deal and how long he thinks he would have to hold the cards to sell them to get more or offload so he has something new to sell. Totally get it! Thanks for the comment! I dread the day I get to Skyridge and you having 80 PSA 10 slabs is just insane. Wish you the best finishing off that set as well! I've always had my concerns about bringing my PC with me and I already carry around a bunch of stuff to film/what I pick up. I did a live a week ago showcasing my Expedition/Aquapolis binders and I actually put in all my weekend pickups at the same time! I think I am going to do that more often of just "Binders and Chill" lives where people can see cards and just talk cards!
Wow I feel like the guy in the white shirt’s brain is rotted from who knows what. I understand navigating a deal, but wow he couldn’t even think straight.
It definitely took a lot longer than most deals ha. But in the end, got a dope lot! Helping out two local buddies build out Expedition sets with the leftovers of what I don't need! All going to great homes!

That was a painful deal to watch. It never hurts to throw your offer out there first. I know “whoever says a number first loses” in negotiations but that isn’t always the case. If you have numbers you pay for certain types of cards throw it out. Like 30 ea for holos, 2-5 ea for reverse foil 1 ea or less for the rest.
Agreed. I typically live and die by that rule but we slowly got to negotiations after awhile. I figured the $30 was around fair for most holos but also figured if I was taking all at once should sweeten the deal a bit. I don't think I could ever do another 30 minute+ deal lmao
That Eevee is the reason I don't tap out cards from top loaders. You can easily scratch it by it coming out of the penny sleeve.
This is true. Sometimes they go sailing with the sleeve and sometimes the sleeve gets stuck and stays. Pull tabs are the move just suck to stack and store though.

Yep! I think you watched the KC CAC video already but I picked up 4 Aquap holos for $100 total that weekend! All around LP condition!!
Big rule to vending new or old. Price your stuff and know what you are selling please. That’s common courtesy for buyers and seller alike.

@@GrimHorizonTV no I’m waiting to do that one last I think so it will make it feel that more special plus I haven’t seen one that looks good enough for the right price to me personally I just started I got the half deck rockets tyranitar holo the pryce’s sneasel holo and just got Karen’s Tyranitar holo two days ago I bought a wills exeggutor non holo the other day but I bought it for my friend for his birthday because his favorite mon is exeggutor and I’m trying to get the holo ones first before I move into non holos anyways! And thanks 🙏 it’s definitely been fun! And ya I’m kinda all over the place with collecting haha but I love every bit of it I recently won an auction for a crystal lugia it was a 1.5 but it’s my holy grail card I hope to eventually up grade to a better condition one eventually but just owning one again is really enough for me I literally cried like a baby when I seen I won that card specifically means the absolute world to me have an amazing story about that card alone and I’m so happy I finally got it back in my possession! 💯

It was definitely one the of the longest deals I've ever had to do. The footage was right at 30 mins before cutting down the silent parts to trim it. In the end I can't hate, got cards.
