Great video. At the grand age of 56, I have just got back into playing the game, just joined a club of other like minded nerds, where we play every 3 weeks. All great guys who like me, love the game, I always have done. Gives a bit of escapism for a couple of hours, makes me feel like I’m a kid again and I don’t mind that at all!, keep flicking!!
subbuteo is the best game ever; what’s shown in the video is what we call CALCIO DA TAVOLO (table soccer), though; quite different from OLD or traditional subbuteo in terms of shape of bases, basic rules and federations. Some players play both versions but the majority of us will stick to one or the other. Personally, I only play OLD 😅
The last guy commented that Subbuteo is not real football. But when you're really into it, and into your leagues, you can end up getting about as involved with them as you do with any real-world league you follow. When I was playing my tabletop dice baseball leagues for 11 seasons, I ended up getting more interested in those pennant races than I was with those in real-world baseball. Hobbies can be that absorbing.
I met a family from Airdrie on holiday in Benidorm in 79 who were keen on subuteo.the son was John mcgriffen or Griffen.he was 15 then,is he there by any chance?
We play with stuff from Extreme Works and Astrobase. Pretty expensive but amazing quality. I'd suggest going to a local club and trying out some of the equipment there. See if you want to invest in the stuff we use.

Old man I'm 53, that might be why I sing when I play... Mo Salah, Mo Salah...
Most decent people have a touch of the geek about them❤
I love seeing unique hobbies; no shame in finding ways to have fun
That final clip had me dying! Nice feature, thanks for covering the lovely game of subbuteo!
I look forward to my visit to Glasgow to see the lads for the International open in February
The ending was so perfectly unscripted, it's beautiful!

Thanks for sharing the video guys. Really appreciate you taking an interest in the beautiful game in miniature! Cheers.
I watch regular like, reminds me to trim the nails (hellos from New Zealand, see you in the future world cup mate)
Me and my grandad allways play subbuteo, he's built himself a whole stadium that we use to play, its bloody amazing
I so wish i had my set from when i was a lad!!

👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Where can I find a local League ???
Where are you based Paul?
Is there somewhere to buy better quality bits other than looking for second hand older ones? Reviews say the latest edition is a bit flimsy.
Thanks

@@wantsomestudio9684 Thanks very much. 👍🏻
Is offside a thing in this game?
Subbuteo does have an offside rule, whereas other table football games such as Futbol Chapas (bottlecap soccer) do not.
Stop showing non-game stuff. I don't need to see the underside of a table or 10 slowmotion faces.
