Dr. Drew is a kid in a candy store every time he does the podcast. You hear the sheer joy in his voice. It's quite delightful.

Hey all, if you ever feel the need to say "I hope this doesn't scare you" while romantically pursuing someone just leave them alone.
I dont think the people who have to do that really think clearly enough to come to that conclusion.

Obviously this guy is way out of line, and I wouldn’t personally ever pursue anyone with this kind of invasive contact. However, I can understand how some people become confused that this is something women want. In recent years, things have become much clearer, “no, means NO”, and sometimes even “yes, still means no” right? But prior to this, there have been so many attempts, in all different types of mediums that encourage this type of behavior.
For instance, any romcom movie. The girl has a boyfriend or husband, who is a full-fledged POS. But the woman doesn’t see it, and all it takes is constant affirmation and affection from the “leading man” role. I think that some men might watch those movies and think, “See this guy knows what he wants, keeps going for it (even though she’s married) and everything works out in the end.
The same could be said for music, and many other art forms. People are conflating the reality of life, and what some writer/musician/etc. thinks is “romantic”.
How many movies have we all seen, where if it was happening in real life, they guy would be straight-up stalking this woman. After watching HUNDREDS of lifetime/hallmark movies with my ex, I can say that a large majority of those movies seem creepy as hell (at least to me).
This doesn’t excuse this behavior, and I’m not saying these movies shouldn’t be made. I’m simply saying, maybe there needs to be more education around the realities of dating, from both men and women’s perspective.
Just some food for thought. Apologies if you disagree with any of my points.

This new set up looks even more bizarre with guests. Why is he sitting beneath you?
Actually their chairs only have 2-3 inch difference. But it’s the layout of the room and camera angle that makes it seem like he guest is substantially lower than them. If they lowered the camera so it was more flush, or moved back the guest chair so it’s the same distance from the camera it would get rid of this optical illusion.

Didn't expect the set to look like this after hearing how excite they were over it. The host tables look like something you would see on a motel reception. Did they find all the furniture by the side of the road and decided to go with it?
I couldn’t help but think that Dr. Tobias Fünke, the world's first Analrapist (pronounced "uh-NAHL-ruh-pist"- a portmanteau of analyst and therapist) after successfully combining his analysis and therapy skills, was the right man for this job as he’s never afraid to roll up his sleeves to get his hands dirty.

This was before COVID and people were already being weird about dating and social interactions. Was spiraling for a few years because too many want others making videos instead of doing what they see others do in videos. We get the same type of satisfaction without having to invest time or effort or build a memory catalog...which is what life is...experience.
