The drifting in this game was kinda like Carbon: fast, loose and insanely satisfying. That, combined with their decently creative game modes and progression system, definitely makes this a game that (gameplay wise) still holds up well 16 years later!
Tbh, as much as i like Carbon, i can't really drift in it, wich is partially skill issues, but i also like the drifting models in NFSU2 or Pro Street more. To me, drifting in Pro Street doesn't feel that different from grip. As in NFSU2 for example, you can really feel and see how different the cars behave.
This man is playing everything in revisiting! I just did import tuner challenge, I’m on juiced 2 now, if dove hits us with dirt 2 next then I’m convinced we live in a simulation
The amount of times I have an old song on repeat for a week then a week or so later someone drops a fat remix of that song, makes me think your simulation theory has merit
One thing to add is that the DNA system does alter how well the drivers act on circuit. Tyrone is more likely to overtake someone than Crystal but Ken is a strong drifter. If the online works, you can also download other players for use in career and the custom races. If you're lucky, you can get a player as good as Driver X for only 5k this way :) (Xbox 360 player here where the servers are still active as they run on peer to peer)
That intro was golden lol, going to petition for more greenscreen Dove for future videos 🤣 I haven't played any Juiced games but from what I saw it does have that "NFS Underground 2 feel" to it, it's got the customization and has the sanctioned racing. It does have some good points to it, I like the bets, the crew system and the mechanic where you can scare opponents. Little things that sets it apart from games back then. Great video as always Dove, really liked the editing in this!
Interesting how both Need for Speed and Juiced abandoned the illegal underground street racing scene in 2007 in favour of a closed course organised racing scene with Prostreet and Juiced 2 respectively (both games even came out in November of that year). It also looks like Juice Games wanted to copy the success of Midnight Club 3 DUB Edition by working with Hot Import Nights for Juiced 2. They certainly got the car list and car customisation done right (it's one of the few games to feature Veilside body kits) and everyone is still down bad for the models to this day. I do agree that the game would have sold better with a better handling model and more event variety plus the crew system was painfully underutilized. Handling was something Juice Games could not get right for some reason. We could have had a Big 3 of arcade racing games in the 2000s: Juiced, Midnight Club and Need for Speed if things had gone well for Juice Games.
Ah yes, the only game i remember crying for (i was like 7, didn't knew much english, and lost my white R34 Skyline in a pink slip event), but i definetly had my revenge against that guy. Got my car back, after some time i bought a Corvette, and lost it in the first even i went (it was a pink slip). With these moments and my skill issues aside, that game was fun. Also, can't comment rn about the video because i haven't watched it before, but i know it boutta be fire, and hopefully, not demonetized. I'll comment again when i finish the video so that my boy can get my extremely and exclusive opinions about the video, and help the channel i guess 😅
Random fun fact of this game: - You can't name your profile or license plates "Jesus", but you can use varios different profanity words. 10/10 Aside from that, fun game. I absolutely adored the drifting mechanics of this one.
Oh yeaaaah. This just unlocked a memory, but I remember in the PS2 and PSP version of the game, the Viper (90s one) had an audio bug where it would sound like it was in first gear even though the car was shifting gears. Then there's the weird visual bug in PSP's version of the game where the Evo 8 would not have any vinyls on even when you apply or load a set from another car. Either way, I still had fun with the PSP version of this game and made so many custom cars out of it. Replicating a bunch of cars from other franchises and more. Drifting was sooooo fun in this.
I only remember this game (and the first one) because it was developed in my home town. It’s a bit of an also-ran. A Street Racing game had to be truly special to stand out at a time when Need for Speed, Midnight Club, Test Drive and Burnout were all at their peek. And Juiced wasn’t special at all.
This game looks surprisingly good, not the most photo realistic but the amount of track detail and reflections are quite nice. Those people though, that’s pretty nightmare inducing.
To me, the first 2 (yes i'm counting Eliminator) are the best. I think they reduced the game modes (at least it's why i remember) and some stuff didn't change much. The biggest thing from Juiced 2 is that supercars were added and reflections got better i guess, but everything else is just less (except for visuals that would feed rule 34)
No joking, I actually bought a Second Hand copy of Juiced 2 for my 360 back on December 27th for £6.00 and I have loved it, not as good as Juiced or the PSP Juiced: Eliminator but its a solid Racer
I first tried playing juiced 2 around april of last year and I just stopped playing the game after league 3. Every event literally felt the same and while the customization was definitely a step up from juiced 1, the gameplay sadly wasn't as engaging as it.
Bobby best character of racing games Change my mind Also if you want more money from spectating you can wait until the odds go lower so you get more money.
Just finished the video, and i was right, it was veey good. Keep up the good work. Also i don't remember these "horse race" thingy. Maybe it wasn't in the Ps2 version, or maybe i didn't get far enough in the game to unlock them (?)
Game is sick i knew about it back then when it came out but never played it until 2 weeks ago, its really dope, love all the brands and small detals. It feels very realistic while also being arcadey. I love how ehen youre modding your car, it goes up on the lift, then for performance mods, it shows a cool fast and furious 1 style car outline on a computer, its sooooo good. No games today have cool details like that. Absolutely no passion in games of today. Especially racing games
sick! got my first console which was a PS2 and this was what it came with...definitely enjoyed it a lot and it shaped me into the enthusiast i am today..my fave car was the Torino, made myself drift king with that long wheel base beauty..sick man sick!
Its alright. I play it sometimes. Handling is still odd. Takes a while to always get used to. Drift is fun but the point system gets to you. Its still hands down one of the best customization console games to this day though. More than MNC LA.
This game was released in 2007 and a year later games like Midnight Club LA or Grid came out. The difference between those and Juiced 2 was HUGE to say the least. So no this game didn't hold up at all.
The ability to bet with the spectator mode is cool , the ability to recruit rivals to join your team, and the pink slip races are way cool…the Need For Speed and Forza franchises have stolen elements from this game but just like Midnight Club Dub Edition & Los Angeles…those games are never as fun especially nowadays!

Sad to see this game is reduced to "lmao Bobby" or "lmao booba" comments cause this game is a huge wasted opportunity. Aside from Midnight Club 3 with DUB, I can't remember good cases of games having ties with these things. Also the styling in the game was awesome and if the vinyls weren't so low-res, we probably could have styling tournaments in Juiced 2 and not NFS ProStreet. The physics are also a disappointment because this type of circuit races was already mastered in PGR4 from the same era. Drift events here are very fun though.
This game for the most part has aged pretty poorly, definitely way more than the first game, but one thing that’s still really impressive to this day is the car list and customization. I still find myself coming back to this on my 360 just to build random cars and throw them into a quick race
You're playing the worse version of the game. The Xbox 360 version has much better graphics, plus the oponents's models will show up when taunting them on your HUD. Oh and it has a different race intro, for some reason. Wonder why they cut those things out of the game
Juiced 2 would be better then what we get these days You know how Repetitive some games are and they are boring?? Like Forza Horizon 5? and NFS Unbound?? The Game modes look really fun,and Fun is what the game should be,what the modern Racing games are Not. I did notice this trend where people go back to the old games to see if they are better then the AAA garbage we get Burnout Paradise City,Need For Speed Most Wanted,Carbon,Pro Street ,FlatOut 2,Crashday ect. They all focus more on fun then, "For 70$/€ you get a premium package for you to start the game with a Hypercar" Games these days arent anymore fun,and if I wanted good old games,I will go back to them. And if the AAA Giants refuse to keep selling them,I just call the local Pirate ship to trade long lost treasure with me.

might get some hate for this, but i also find forza horizon 5's drifting to be nice and loose and satisfying as well, the body roll feels realistic
the drifting is probably what makes this a step above juiced 1
juiced 1 had a fundamental flaw with its drifting
This man is playing everything in revisiting! I just did import tuner challenge, I’m on juiced 2 now, if dove hits us with dirt 2 next then I’m convinced we live in a simulation
I loooooove Import Tuner Challenge. I was just playing that recently as well.
The amount of times I have an old song on repeat for a week then a week or so later someone drops a fat remix of that song, makes me think your simulation theory has merit
89 cars in that day and age is crazy
One thing to add is that the DNA system does alter how well the drivers act on circuit.

Some interesting customization options in there 👀
Would definitely love to see you cover the other versions of the game and see how they're different

First Juiced wasn't about illegal street racing, the street racing in that game was on closed roads, it was legal!
Japan had locked down on street racing by then. The FF movies started to suck.
I remember when you restart your game during pink slip race, you will lose your car instantly
Ah yes, the only game i remember crying for (i was like 7, didn't knew much english, and lost my white R34 Skyline in a pink slip event), but i definetly had my revenge against that guy. Holy fucking shit, you just unlocked a whole childhood memory. I randomly got slapped with memories of playing this game as a kid.

This game is such a guilty pleasure of mine LOL
Loved this game but later in the game when you got the s class type vehicles they were almost impossible to control at least in my experience.
Wish I could play this on ps5. One of my favorite games
for me PC version lacks that Phantom Track from ps2, both versions have "the phantom" but they are not the same track, I prefer ps2 Phantom
I had the PSP version of this and I quit playing it after i lost my car in a pink slip event cause I had no idea what it meant😅
I had this on the DS and I can't remember a single thing about it.
Dang i played the psp version of this game alot. I realy loved it back in the day.
