Owner of a Gen2.
140,000 miles and counting.
Seriously fun car.
Never gets old.
And the pedals, you get used to 'em.
Oh nice ha!
Beautiful clean Viper 🇺🇸👍🏻
Thanks for watching!
Great review of my car. It does help to be short not meant for taller people :) What exhaust is that?
The pedal "shift " to the left reminds me of the 65 Sunbeam Alpine I drove in high school. It had a small block 327 and T-10 four speed. The clutch, brake and accelerator pedals were seriously shifted to the left to fit the bell housing into the car. Guess there is something similar going on in the Viper to shoe horn that motor into the car.
Ha yeah that big V10 is certainly stuffed in there.
? I'm not sure what you mean that the gen 1 AC wasn't good? It was a dealer installed option and pretty much the same as the gen 2....Nice car, love those Vipers.
I recently bought a 1997. The pedals are the worst thing about the car :)
Ah congrats!
I have a Gen 3 and the pedals aren't as extreme-plus they're adjustable. I think the Gen 2's are as well but it's a manual instead of electric.
@@channell11 yes they are manually adjustable. And that’s great. But my concern isn’t that adjustment. My concern is the ratio of the height of the clutch pedal compared to the gas pedal. In stock form, they are nearly the same height. But of course the gas pedal travels 2 inches and the clutch pedal travels. I don’t know, 10 or 12 inches. So wherever I set the pedals and wherever I set the seat, it’s very very awkward.
I ended up making a 2 1/2 inch spacer and added it to my clutch pedal to get the ratios correct. even with that, I may get my spacer a couple inches larger.
