I think the best part of Killua's ability is that it allows him to react purely on instinct faster than he could even think, which is in direct opposition to the needle that was once within him that manipulated him and subdued those instincts. It's a direct defiance to his family and show of confidence in himself. Instinct vs the overthinking he was prone to before, a great parallel.
@@angrashadow2958❤@angrashadow2958 ❤ and turning pain, suffering, loneliness into beauty, courage and love. Killua is Togashi's most sensitive, delicate, complex character study. romantic, hopeful, uplifting. 😊 just pure delicacy.

Lol Paya(the narrator is the GOAT), if you go back, he didn't say Ikky was weak he said "Ikky was lamenting his weakness" , he was feeling bad about his own "weakness". Don't get my man Paya twisted up hahaha

The original Ultra Instinct. One of my favorite things about HxH is how often characters can make logical conclusions that are still wrong because they lack information. That makes them feel intelligent in a believable way rather than just being conveniently able to arrive at the correct answer every time as if the author was handing them the truth. About the elevator, sure it was blown apart so it may seem like all that exposition about it was useless, but not having that information would make this situation feel half-baked, it would be way too convenient if an elevator in a country's leader's palace had no special security, it serves the purpose of making this world grounded and feel real in a sense.
I LOVE how HxH deals with information asymmetry. You could be the smartest person ever but if you don't have all the information , you are bound to make an incorrect decision. Other writers don't do this so well
100% agreed, I really think HxH manages a perfect balance in that aspect, most character don't feel like neither an omniscient overpowered character nor like a dumb who can't make the easiest of assumptions, regardless if they are right or not they make assumptions that are reasonable within their knowledge and context.
Remember when killua said “gon you are the light” now killua has become the light with ikalgo and even now as this form and gon has become dark literally with his aura and figuratively.
I love how we're arguing on who we would save in a dire situation when it is the exact same question the show's protagonists had asked of them episode 2. The show didn't change, it just developed.
People associate self serving individualistic goals as the only course towards personal fulfillment otherwise you're selfless or slavish or not thinking about yourself, when that's not the case. Killua is not sticking with Gon, helping him, enjoying life with him because he is a slave or bound to a toxic relationship or because he has no purpose. His purpose is in self discovery rn. He is doing all this because that gives him fulfillment and there is nothing inferior about finding fulfillment in caring for someone or just enjoying life with a friend. And there is no question about selfish or selfless here, it's all about what's most important in life. In fact, we see this is Killua's true nature- because later when he does find his purpose beyond Gon, it is for the care of another someone.
LOL this is literally Gon&Killua's convo on the airship going to NGL Gon/Lola being "I'll fight to protect you" Killua/Milena being "I'll decide depending on the situation" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Like someone else said this is also a callback to EP2's dilemma 'your mom or girlfriend? your son or daughter?'
Hot take: I love the elevator/basement plotline. Seeing such a powerless character come up with smart no-bs solutions against the odds was so satisfying.
Killua really was blowing off some steam here. His attacks did physically zero damage except stunlocking Youpi for some time. He was really pissed off about the whole thing going completely different from how he planned, including Gon deciding to go refuse his help against Pitou.
Every time I see this episode I wonder how strong Killua will be in the future. He is a kid who learned nen not too long ago, came up with a completely new technique all by himself and was able to hold back a royal guard in a 1v1 unscathed for as long as his tecnique is up.
By 18 he would be a top Zodiac level, able to fight off both his father, grandfather and Illumi. From their on his growth will be slowed down with his potential saturating in his early 30s. By that time depending on his motivation and luck, he would have become an 'Ultimate' nen user in his category. From there on, only Netero type training would produce some significant difference in him. 0-11: No nen 12: Awakens nen 13: Reaches 'great' tier in transmutation 15-16: Reaches 'excellent' tier in transmutation 18-20: Reaches 'genius' tier in transmutation 30-35: Reaches 'ultimate' tier in transmutation
@@kenanOW He can't be adult Gon tier without doing a similar training as Netero did, even Gon can't become "adult Gon" as an adult without going through the decades long training. Adult gon or what I would call Gon-san is the max potential of Gon exhibited in his raw amount and peak mastery at enhancement. That's the power Gon can maximally reach. For Killua to reach the same level, he has to be comparable in potential to Gon, but is he? I think it's safe to assume Killua is slightly more talented than Gon (learning speed) while Gon has higher potential than Killua, based on what's talked about in the show. One example would be Meleoron: In his initial impression of the boys he stated Killua's current potential to be at the same level as a squadron leader. While for Gon upon meeting him he literally said, "he can't gauge how much power he really has"- hinting at the bottomless potential of Gon. While characters in the show have praised the talent of both the boys, it's Killua who has got the most appreciation in that regard. On the other hand, when it comes potential it's Gon who takes the cake.
