If it IS cellotape ( rather than polyester) it is made from wood or similar ( cellulose)and will decompose.
I love my 10'5" widepoint but in the lighter Litetech. Interesting that this length, the weight difference between the normally much heavier Starlite, and the carbon is minimal.
Similar big amount of rocker as my longer one. Makes them a bit draggy to paddle in flat water, but really shows up well when you are on waves.
