- We are doing an EPIC road trip around Transylvania, Romania.
Join us as we drive the TRANSFAGARASAN HIGHWAY, voted the BEST ROAD in the world by Top Gear !
We were blown away by the scenery, driving up the mountain was magical and breath taking.
A MUST DO if you come to Romania !
We recommend driving from north to south and climb up the mountain road. An ideal trip is to stay overnight in Sibiu (beautiful town) and take the day to drive up and back down the road (which is what we did).
From Sibiu, get on the E68 towards Brasov then turn off onto the 7C Transfagarasan Road.
Note that the road is only open from June to October due to snow.

Thank you so much for your video in România you have very many beautiful places,i made a list of some places which you can visit: a very beautiful place is Therme Bucharest it is the largest and modern complex of thermal baths in Europe,also în Bucharest you have the Palace of Parlament the haviest and expensive buldin administrative în the world and the Old Town with night life,and you should really go to Salina Turda in Cluj it is amazing, Castelul de lut in Sibiu which looks like a fairy tale, the Palace of Culture in Iași, Trasfăgărășean and Transalpina, are two of the most spectacular mountain roads in the world, Vidraru Dam, Red Ravine, Mud Volcanoes, Danube Boilers, Egreta Complex in Brezeasca, Danube Delta in Tulcea, Sphinx in the Bucegi Mountains, Cheile Bicazului.😊

I'm so glad you like this road but to know in reality it's much more great in this video it doesn't show the Vidraru dam that this road crosses there it's a great sight and also on this road there are wild bears that you can watch ( they are friendly but I don't recommend you to get too close to them, they are still wild) and at the top on the mountain you have Lake Bâlea.
