I was literally raised on opera and classical symphonic music by a nanny when I was a child. Although I would go on to love Rock n roll, too, opera is still my favorite musical genre. It is sterling performances such as these that keep me coming back for more...and more. Bravo!

Such a wonderful performance. They were able to provide joy from the first warm and playfully-sang "Pa"-s to the very end of the piece.

I cannot imagine how much harder the male singer had to work to overcome what had to be a lot of bias towards his appearance.
He wrote an autobiography called "Die Stimme" (The Voice) in which he explains how hard is was. I read it this spring.
To cut a long story short: Most people would have surrendered...
He couldn’t get into one of the great German music conservatories because of his inability to play piano.
