More than likely Disney fries a very massive quantity of chips for the masses during certain parts of the day. It's easier that way so they can shovel them into orders more easily and some chips may be left behind and not used right away. So certain chips are going to taste fresher than others depending on the timing. If you sit anything like that out, it isn't going to take long for it to get stale. For example, croutons can be house made as well, but if you stick them on the salad bar too long they'll get stale too. All chips get stale eventually if you leave them out too long.
Pecos Bills went down hill the moment they took away the condiment bar..where you could load your plate with guacamole, sour cream and as much salsa as you wanted. Those were the days.
I have a trick for you , if you get stuck opening up those packets, grab a napkin, put it over the opening and wrip it open. That will usually do the trick lol
The tortilla chips do look housemade. They probably pre make them but you can tell they are house made. Now the “Grilled Masa Flatbread” which is really a Huarache was poorly made. My mom literally made some yesterday for breakfast. Beans should be refried beans instead of whole pinto beans, like a spread kind of type. A good house made salsa and the vegan cheese and maybe a vegan sour cream would have been better
I'm really curious about the Kids Nacho Bowl. If you go back please show that. I do like that we can customize the entree to take some of those toppings off. Thanks for sharing
Why can we not get refried beans on property. It’s always regular pintos or a sad attempt at la charra beans. Also, Christen have you never been to the South West US? You need to try some authentic Tamales. They can be glorious.
I had hoped that they'd re-image Tom Sawyer's Island to Tiana's Restaurant. Park the Liberty Belle Riverboat next to it, and add a land bridge from Tiana's Bayou Adventure. In my dreams, that's what they'd do. Anyway, thanks so much for this amazing review! Can't wait to try the new menu!
aww- I'm glad Pecos got some love with a new menu! I have a soft spot for it because my parents loved eating here on our trips growing up 🤣 Everything looks really good- except the super unnecessary burger 🤢You have the right idea with a simple bacon and queso burger instead!
My husband and I just had some passion fruit mousse from Disney and chocolate mousse and he was saying whoever the mousselier is 😂 knows their stuff. I don’t know if mousselier is a word lol, we kept laughing about it, but we kept getting different mousse items and all of them are delicious. So I’m excited to try the corn one now.
Have you tried to reintroduce mayo in your diet? Maybe you are fine with it now. 😅 Not long ago I was off-putting with egg yolk, but I tolerate it now.

Hear me out Kristen. They should build Tiana's palace on the banks of the Sassagoula along-side French Quarter. French Quarter lacks a sit down restaurant and your favorite beignets are already there! Imagine seeing the palace lit up at night while on a boat ride, or enjoying some cajun fare with a river view. 🤌

I just wanted to let you know and I may be wrong but if it is a planted based item the crema probably doesn’t have something mayonnaise based in it.
The difference between vegan and vegetarian is very different as well which I don’t think many people understand.

Charro beans are delicious if cooked properly. Borracho beans are better but we love both.
