+TheCRTman Ever since New Flyer established the xcelsior as their sole bus model, they have not added MAN axles to any of their new buses. I think after 2013, they stopped using MAN axles.
+TheCRTman Those BCT Xcelsiors Oh my goodness man .After seen those awesome looking BCT's NFI D60LFR's , the DE62LFA's and the Nabi 60 BRT's and then to see those Xcelsior buses with those roof mounted Sutrak a/c units ,no stile what's so ever ,looks more like just two cheap looking square boxes up there on that roof.
+Devon Satchell Yeah I've seen those buses. Personally speaking and I can only speak for my self when I say stuff like this but those are the must unattractive buses I've ever seen here in South Florida and I been living down here since May of 1980. Honestly the only way you would ever see one of those on my channel is if I happen to be filming another bus and one of those just happens to show up exactly at the same time but other than that sorry man no Xcelsiors here not from BCT not from any transit agency.
+Marcos .A .R Columbia,SC will be getting 8 xcelsiors this year. Charleston, SC has two XDE40s and they just put 3 new XD40s with suburban seats for their express routes in service. They still have their 1996 New Flyer D35HFs and 1994 Flxible Metros running, some of those CARTA buses I filmed just a few days ago.
+Marcos .A .R Guess that makes both of us. at least we loved both broward county transit and miami dade transit flxibles. by the way I am from Fort Lauderdale. born in 86 at broward general. first bus ever rode was the 36 to Lauderhill mall, 18 to sunshine plaza and the 57 Tamarac. Lots of people don't remember that route
+david123321ism The sad part is that not too long ago you could go to any city here or in Canada and find a variety of different model buses and with variety of powertrains ,now is just mostly New Flyer Xcelsiors ,Nova LFS and Gillig Lowfloors , in many cases with different parts added to them to make them look like something different. The same with the engines, Is mostly the same three engines all over the place even on school buses..Cummins ISL ,ISLG and ISB with a Cummins ISX and a Volvo D13 here and there but that's it.
This is a nice sounding bus, especially with the axles.
Almost sounded like a 6V92 at idle in the beginning of the video IMO. This sounds pretty deep and crisp for a 2012 bus :) 😊
+8v71buses Thank you ,I was waiting for someone to notice this!!!. About almost sounding like a 6V92TA engine at the begining while on high idle.
I love the turbo fan sound
Not too bad for an ISL9 engine. The MAN axles remind me of Translink's old buses. It sounds like this bus has electric engine fans.

david123321ism I don't like xcelsiors.
+TheCRTman Yeah I think It has around nine of them ,nine little electric fans and they were screaming.

Marcos .A .R I can't stand Xcelsiors at all. So boring and ugly to me.
