Norm. Glad to see you looking so good!
Amen to that.
Looks like he got rid of some extra pounds! ❤
Paul is a legend in the amp arena..sure hope guys like him are teaching the new generations, cause guys like him have a lifetime of knowledge
Great to see Norm looking lighter and good. Great video with Mr. Rivera. Thanks!
Paul and I go back to the old LA Guitar Show days, where he exhibited at my Hollywood Rosevelt show. He is just the nicest guy! His amps are top shelf too.
2 Legends of Guitar and Amp, the knowledge these 2 men contain is unreal! It's good to see Norm up and about looking well! Doing what he loves to do. And thank you Mr. Rivera for taking the amp to the next level of tonal bliss!
Yep, I have a Paul Rivera made Fender amp from Japan (About 1986 I think) & here in 2022 it's still going strong, love it
I’ve got a Rivera era fender concert and it’s got all the tones and sounds that I need, but….it would be nice to have Paul go through my amp to update what needs to be updated.
Yep two legends, what can you say. Thanks for these great videos because otherwise we'd never see or hear from people like Paul talking candidly about their craft. Cheers Norm, much appreciated!!
Norm looking awesome glad he is recovering and I love the Super Reverb !!!
Fantastic..Hearing Zep...talking about the Great Aspen Pittman...and Paul and Norm.....great stuff
Brandon just casually playing some Led Zep in the background is pretty cool too.
Nice! My ‘82 PRII has been my main driver since the late 80s!!
What a wonderful video! Thanks for sharing that conversation. I could listen to both of you talking guitars/music for an hour or two. I wish you would do longer interviews, they are fascinating.
My first amp was a Silver Faced Fender just like that. The memories.
All the decades I played and amps I owned and sold only one do I regret selling and alway wished I could get back that was my 65 BF Princeton that I had Paul Rivera do his mod magic to. This was back when Paul was working out of his garage and a friend of mine introduced me to Paul. I also had an old original Echoplex that was trashed in an accident and Paul rebuilt it new case and all and it sounded great. Paul is the best.
Love my 1983 Fender Super Champ!! Thanks, Paul.
I heard that amp in one of your videos the other day and was instantly transported back to 1972 and my high school rock band (I played bass) and our Lead Guitarist had a Twin Reverb and to this day after playing in bands and being a Bouncer in Bars at The Jersey Shore in the late 70’s and Later working as a Security Supervisor in a Casino in AC and guarding big acts that Twin was still one of the best amps I ever heard and this amp brought me right back to the sound of that Twin. What a great sounding amp and Thanks for the Memory !
I have a sidekick reverb 65 designed under Paul when he worked for fender, it’s incredible!
What a legend! Paul is so humble too.
Thank you for sharing ,your looking well Norm! Luv the channel 👍
Rivera Era Amps are some of the berry best!
They look (and sound) great to me. Nothing like real relics, even better when fully gone through like these.
Wish you guys were open today! I don’t get out here very often!
Very nice video. So glad you're feeling better Norm you look wonderful
I know a guy that has a shit ton of Rivera amps and all kinds of parts over the years. he has a room stacked near all the way to the ceiling in some places. idk if he has sold any off over the years. but last time I was in there he had so much. it was insane.
I have a Rivera era super champ, its a great amp.
I have a paul rivaria 4×10 concert amp, sounds great!! Very heavy,I belive it to be 82,83? Good to see you looking great Norm!!

Great tremolo, sounds incredible. Possibly the best I have heard.
I played a black beauty les paul custom out of that super reverb when I visited norms. It sounded so damn good that it sent me amp shopping to chase that sound
What a fantastic video norm and paul and Brandon and jen
More videos like this please.
Amps look great and that Super is majestic.
Wow. 1973. Going back. 1968. Amp guru
Complete repair by one of the best
I still kick myself for letting a Rake head slip through my fingers. Rivera builds fantastic stuff!
Love to have the Champ, I have a Fender Champ clone and they sound so good. Also good to see Norm back at it!
This guy is a master those amps I’m sure are incredible and will last and last
Fun Fact;
Warren DeMartini used a Paul Rivera modded Fender Champ to record his solos on Out Of The Cellar/Invasion Of Your Privacy 🎸
I Wish you the best Norm, Rivera Amps are so good , great. 🎸🎼🎸🎼👍👏🙂
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!
You should start selling his amps :)
Wow Paul is a legend….👍🏼
I’d say the amps are beautiful like that
I missed out on one of his fenders a while ago and I am kicking myself.
I used to own a Champ II. Loved it and traded it and regretted it ever since. Alas, young and stupid at the time (early 80's).
Paul you should check out Weber Speakers from Kokomo IN.
With the breadth of work Paul's done, I pictured him to be older! Kudos. He clearly started young!
Edit - I had a Rivera Fandango about 20 years ago (bought it new online). I ended up returning it, but nothing to do with its quality. It was just so beastly that it was too much for me at the time. I would love to have one now. Quality was stellar and man oh man, was it ever powerful. Felt like 120w, not 55w. Fantastic amp. Built like a tank.
I miss my Super Reverb!
Yamaha G series is Paul designs and are great clean SS amps.....cheap too
Hey a Chubster 40 for years. I am not a fan of the quality(had a lot of issues with the potentiometers) and not a fan of their service. I sent emails and called on the phone and left messages and never heard back from their service dept.
Interesting. Afraid I am amp illiterate - need to learn. Have often thought of dusting off the cobwebs to start playing again after a very long sabbatical. It would take some doin'. Always played acoustic, but would be fun to try some electric. I'd have to get an amp, or find some way to hear myself. Yikes! What are some good set-ups to get started?
Thanks for sharing. Glad Norm is hanging in there. Take it easy.
I disagree Norm...I think the Champ and Super Reveb are absolutely gorgeous. As I get older, like the amps, I'm starting to fray around the edges and feel a kinship with older equipment. I just wish someone would come along and replace some of my parts, so I worked as well as these amps! 😎🎼🎶🎸🎵👍 Love ya Norm!
HEY NORMAN LOVE YOU
Amps look pretty good to me
Not great looking amps ? I beg to differ….
I am going to snag that Super
Can Paul work on my Super Reverb and Super Champ?
Is Paul Rivera both a Fender supplier and.a competitor?
I USE CAPS SO I CAN SEE
HEY! EARLIER I WAS AGAIN THINKING NORM SHOULD FEATURE HIS AMPS PRESENTED BY JOHN TUCCI
NORM HAS LOTS OF COOL AMPS
I HEARD ABOUT PAUL RIVERA AS FAR BACK AS 1970, A GREAT AMP GUY
I'VE GOT OVER 40 COOL AMPS
CARLOS GUITARLOS 90042 USA
You can change font sizes. No reason to use caps as an excuse
@@Ottophil have some respect
Yamaha G100 ll Paul????
Aspen Pittman! RIP
Let's hear the amp. How much....
bring back the champ II!
🎯
👌
Please, Please Tell me the name of that Led Zeppelin song he is playing.. I want to learn it..
Ten Years Gone, from Physical Graffiti...
It's a pretty easy song to play, in dropped D tuning.
@@mattrogers1946 Thank you so, sooo much.. it’s definitely some beautiful guitar work. Can’t wait to learn it..
@@briangisler1981 Might need to invest in a B Bender for the electric parts. Good luck, one of the first songs I learned to play.
Lost weight norm Everything ok?
I had one of his 4x10" Concerts and of course sold it in a fit of stupidity.
They are really new amps, that look old. He changed pretty much everything.
Not so sure if that was a good thing.
So you basically ruined fender amps, thanks Paul!
oh heck i Love the look
legend
Heard a Rivera amp and loved it but can't afford it unfortunately..
wants to keep original tone, proceeds to replace all the things that attribute to said tone. lmao
While I'm no expert, swapping the PT in an old amp like this is sacrilegious...
$10K?
