Love your Grand Prix! My son has a '99 Grand Prix GTP with a supercharged 3800 we've done a fair amount of work to and one of our dream projects is to do a RWD turbo 3800, so you have inspired us!
I feel ya man, I did power tour in 2022 and 2 days before lost the transmission in my C10, ended up taking my daily 2006 Cadillac DTS. Sucked but still had fun and got to tak the C10 in 2023! I was lucky the trans went out before i hit the road though. I was stayed at the hotel with the band it was a blast that night!
Loved watching your video. Great camera quality and filming. Loved your music choices too. Looks like you had a blast! Sorry to hear that the grand prix is hurt. Looking forward to seeing how you get on with that. A teardown video would be interesting to see what happened. Love your regal. It looks like a well built comfy cruiser.
Had a 81 GP burned up. Missed it. Got a 98 GMC sonoma 4.3 all original. Like ti take it on power tour one year. Your GP is awesome. Is it a V6 with turbo? Want to turbo my 4.3. That's why I asked. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Nice! Mine has been swapped with L67 v6 and has a turbo. I'd check out a couple videos, way more to go over than I can in a youtube comment. I'd check out the roadkill rotsun video - they swapped a 4.3 in it and turbo charged it in this one: ruclips.net/video/WcjC00J8FaM/видео.html
how difficult was this swap in all? How does it compare to other swaps? I had a vortec 350 laying around that i swapped into my original 3.8 cutlass and while it has been fun, I'm dreading for something more unique and kinda want to keep it to the roots with the 3.8
Pretty much nothing bolted in haha Built my own motor mounts, exhaust manifolds (had to because turbo), wiring harness, etc. If you can weld and wire up a harness it's really not bad though. Gives you a bit more room up front compared to a V8 too!

Hate you had trouble with the Grand Prix. Nice video. Hope I get to stay at the Burnouts Motel next year. 😂. New Sub to your channel.

Thanks! That'll be the next video!
Thanks for sharing your power tour, awesome
I was on my way. Made it almost to Atlanta from Kentucky and trans started slipping. I turned around and headed home. I got lucky I made it back home
Probably a good call unless a parking lot transmission swap was on your bucket list haha
@@tuningwithstyx that would be a nooooo. Not on my list lol. I’m just glad I made it back. Scary 6 hour drive back 😂
