Hi Justin. I just started playing a couple weeks ago. This is my wedding song from many, many years ago. I want to play this for my wife. Your video makes it look doable even for an old beginner like me. Thank you much!
You're my hero, man. About 9/10 times when I want to know how to play something I thought of at random you've got a video. I still play very poorly, but it's awesome to have a starting point.
Justin, I’ve been watching your videos on and off for eight years now. Not only is your playing better, but your teaching approach is tightened up. Thank you! Very nicely done!
Hey Justin. Many thanks for all I learn from you. Folks always say, "You're never too old to rock and roll." And I say, "You're never too old to learn to play guitar." I should know, being an older person of many years. You have shown me that all of the songs I like to hear, I can with practice play them myself. Thanks so much from the States.
It's true Justin! Can't help but fall in love with the way you present and teach songs :) Thanks for satisfying my Elvis learning binge! Please keep it up. So very grateful for your style of edu. Thank You
Dear Justin, I'm following up your fabulous lessons for quite a while now - but this piece of music now definitely leads me to my first donation to your bank account for your great contribution to musical education on planet earth! =;-) A big "Thank you" from Germany!
Seriously the easiest way to play this song...other people say "easy" in their title, but this is truly the best breakdown to play it without being too complicated. Thanks!
Hi there Justin, really enjoyed the clarity and simplicity of your lessons. Also your singing along as you explain helps speed up the learning process. Thanks a stack.
😃Thanks again Justin. I just progressed to here & am about 85% on this lesson. I will practice this same lesson including the finger style till i'm spot on before learning another song here.
Thanks Justin! great video. my wife loves this song. can you do a quick video of the fancier version you played at the end of this lesson. i'd love to play that version for her
Instead of A7, how about C#dim7? If the capo on 2 is taken as the nut 0 position, it would be x45353, with the first finger playing a short barre on the 3rd fret, the second finger on the 4 (c#), the 3rd and 4th fingers on the 5th fret g and e respectively. This also sets up a nice slide down into Dm played xx3231.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the suggestion. stand by me is really great for begining fingerstyle guitar in the same pattern used here. G x 2bars, Em x 2 bars C x 1 bar D x 1 bar. that's the whole song
Just to add, yes...you can put your middle finger on A string, 2nd fret, to produce a "B" note... but if you're a little lazy, you are fine just muting the second string, the way Justin is doing here. Also this is a fairly standard procedure to make quick changes between C major and G major. Just look at Justin's beginner videos. I think he explained it in one of them. Cheers.
Thanks for the tutorial. Why does your G look so different than any of the 3 variations I know of? My G's use 1 & 2 fingers on low E and A strings. @ 2:12 your 1 finger is on the high E?
Justin, have you ever looked at the transcripts attached to your videos? They are quite humorous at times. This lesson has you talking about orgies and the Family Guy and so on. Anyway, great lesson. I truly enjoy learning from you.
Awesome lesson!! Justin couldn’t you actually kind of do the finger style but using a pick instead and just make sure to pick the strings in the same sequence?
hi justin, you're stuff helps me a lot please could you do something on that's alright mama by elvis presley if you could do that i'd very greatfull thanks.

Nice one J.......regards, Pete

❤fantastic
I wanna play the way he does in the end
WILDFIREexe Me too
Instead of strumming just pluck the base string then the next string then the next, etc, and back down all while holding the chord.
Nvm. Didn’t see that far xD
Thanks for the tutorial. Why does your G look so different than any of the 3 variations I know of? My G's use 1 & 2 fingers on low E and A strings. @ 2:12 your 1 finger is on the high E?
It's a G7 chord.
