Let me give some tips to crack IIT
Tip no 1 :- First of all u need to be SC/ST
In caste wise
Tip no 2 :- if ur been ST/SC candidate no worries just chil,l u just need to get pass marks of urs caste i.e either 40-60/320 marks in advance
Tip no 3:-If ur a BC/OC candidate u need to struggle more than/extraordinarly than anyone else / some shit like People in tip 2,1 . Even u score 90-110+ it's isn't confirm of getting seat in IITs .
I'm not demotivating I'm saying my experience out of my life just keep studying .

The central/state boards constituted by the Government of India are testing the students’ abilities of the primary school, secondary school, higher secondary/intermediate, NCVT, and SBTET and awarding certificate to concerned student after qualified. It is standard and common practice in India.
Accordingly the ability of the old &new UG&PG students should be tested/reviewed and should be approved by the concerned government of India statutory educational councils/boards. The boards must be provided the degree validity certificate to the concerned qualified students for assurance about worthiness of the degree holder, for the employment in the Indian organisations including private.
if any student not qualified ability tests, then the university must return the total fees of the concerned not qualified UG & PG degree holder because the students are being consumers of the education in this country.
The abilities of old and new UG&PG degree holders were not tested and certified by the concerned government of India statutory educational councils in india for the purpose of posts and services in Indian organisations including private.

I'm a first year student. Is it important for me to start practicing books like SL arora,Irodov? Or basic ncert and Hc verma along with coaching material is enough? I've entered class 11 and started taking online coaching. And how many hours should I spend for this?
NCERT is for understanding concepts. H C Verma will allow you to apply what you have learnt in Physics. Both are necessary, but not sufficient for JEE advanced. Normally, coaching material from any good institute should be sufficient & if there are any lacunae, your faculty will be able to suggest suitable reference books.
Im also class 11if you have iit foundation you should be able to do that problem from now or else if you don't have a foundation then it will take 2 or 3 months to start HC Verma as it took for me.

There are good career options in any discipline. After MEC you can go for BBA/MBA, CA, Law etc. Whatever you choose, you have to perform to setlle into a good career

Books depend wether you have foundation or not bro if you do have foundation you can start doing HC Verma for physics, cengage and arihanth for maths, Himanshu Pandey for organic chemistry if you don't have foundation you should start from your institute materials and ncert for 2 or 3 months after that you can go ahead with above books I mentioned. By the way even I am in class 11

IPE exams are very easy. JEE preparation has to planned such that at no point of time there is a backlog. You can go for intensive IPE revision two months before the exam. For any serious IIT aspirant that would be sufficient.
