I’m sorry, I thought it was clear. The arm bending into the ball vs out of the ball. Into or out of the ball means into or out of the strike point of the shot.
@@TheProstrap In anatomical terms, do you mean elbow extension after contact as opposed to continued elbow flexion after contact with the ball as shown with the younger player?
Correct. Specifically looking at the bending point of the elbow. When I say “into the ball,” I mean prior to contact. When I say “out of the ball, that means AFTER contact. It’s common to bend the arm prior to contact into the strike, but that means you’re using too much arm. Like the pros in the video, you want to bend the elbow AFTER contact. I’ll do another video on it for clarification 👍🏻
There is nothing inherently wrong with breaking the plane. Many pros do it. The video shows the device being used to create more space sideways and to help with the follow through. Don't believe the Prostrap is designed to limit the *BACKSWING??* . The video uses Simona as an example of a great forehand. Doesn't Simona break the plane? 🤔
ATP forehands should NOT break the plane because it inhibits spin generation. WTA forehands do break the plane because they hit flatter than the ATP does.
@@TheProstrap Can ProStrap be used to not break the plane on the *backswing?* I am not clear on that. The video shows it correcting sideways spacing and correcting follow through. It also seems Simona is breaking the plane, correct?
Yes, Simona is breaking the plane. The Prostrap can help with the concept of breaking the plane for sure, but you can still break the plane while wearing it because it does not impair your movement or swing. It's the only training tool on the planet that will allow you to hit a full groundstroke while wearing it.
Wow. Excellent video. So much info. Will need to watch it several times to understand everything. 🎾 Is the "Prostrap Basic" everything you need to get started? I assume Prostrap Basic it is what the junior player Abbie at 04:50 is using... Not clear on the difference between Basic and Prostrap Plus and Professional, and what the purpose of the "cuffs" are. 🤔
Go check out the website, and all of these mysteries shall be explained in detail... But the short version of it is, the "Basic" version is just the Prostrap and a single size, the "Plus" is a single size in addition to the Procuffs, and the "Pro" version has the Prostrap, the Procuffs, and every size band included. The Procuffs are for bringing your opposite hand back with your forehand for more shoulder rotation, otherwise known as the "Unit turn."
Love the Simona explication ! Miss her so much in the tournaments
Wow very good explanation
I appreciate how you don’t explain what you mean when you say bending in or out of the ball
Please explain the above terms used by you... bend arm out of the ball

"Viking have join the tennis court"
Amazing
Makes sense
I think it's more effective if you put a shock collar on them if they break the plane . Just thinking out loud. Great video.
We’re working on it! 😂😂😂
