Have you been to Lake Louise or Moraine Lake in Alberta Canada? If so, what did you think? If not, we have some great tips for when you do visit! After years of seeing everyone's Instagram photos of Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, we had to see what all the hype was about. In this video, we compare the two and take you along for one of the best sunrises we've ever witnessed, along with two incredible hikes in Banff National Park.
Hi from Costa Rica 🇨🇷🇨🇷🇨🇷, beautiful video, thanks for sharing and the recomedations, my wife and I are planning to go in September 2023, I hope God allows us to know these beautiful places
its been a while, but one Oct we launched our inflatable on Moraine Lake just as it got light, paddled to the far and and back, as the sun popping over the 7 peaks warmed us. Unforgettable. Thanks for sharing your adventure and up to date tips, like parking fees at Lake Louise.
I have a question for you guys! We are staying at the Moraine Lake Lodge this August 2023. Civil Dawn is 5:30 Am and Sunrise is 6:11 AM (my app tells me). How long does it take to walk up to the tip of the Rock Piles for the pre-sunrise and sunrise? What time to leave the hotel? Thanks in advance (I am doing a timelapse of the sunrise). Dale- Miami FL
The intro is insane. The camera setup/work as well as the editing - what a beautiful intro! And the rest of the video was as usual, fabulous. My family and I need to visit Banff!
To describe best lake, I think it is Lake Louise because it is open all year round. Moraine Lake was closed when I visited 2019 around this time of the year. I liked the trip to Banff, wish to go again 😄😊
Great video. Can you please let me know what date you guys visited larch valley? I am planning trip towards end of September and want to know if that will be perfect timing to see fall colors? Thanks in advance.
Recently visited Lake Louise but unable to get to Moraine Lake but did do Peyto Lake and Emerald Lake. All were very busy but enjoyed Emerald Lake as the walk round it was quite quiet. Not much between them scenery wise, all dramatic and beautiful in subtly different ways Would also recommend Bow Lake especially as easy to view as along Icefield Parkway Road.
Greetings from Dallas. My wife and I have spent a lot of time in Georgia and in Ukraine, and your videos really inspire us to start traveling again. You two are awesome!
I would like to see both lakes. My question is.. should we go to Moraine Lake first since the parking lots gets full quickly and we’ll be there super early. Our plan is to hike up the rock pile to get some pictures and views. Then hopefully head to Lake Louise to canoe and hike Big Beehive. We thought since Moraine is on the way and harder to get in after a certain time, we would go there first?? Wanted to know your thoughts on it.
We think that makes sense the way you have it laid out. We didn't see the sunrise at Lake Louise, but I can't imagine it being better than Moraine Lake for sunrise. The Big Beehive hike was great and we'd pick that one over the Larch Valley Trail overall. Enjoy your trip!
Lovely video! Could you share the date of this trip to larch valley? We are going to Banff 17th to 22nd September this year and are wondering if we’ll get to see the fall colours or not!
Moraine Lake hands down!
YES!

Outstanding From Start To Finish.
Thank you, Drew! Glad you enjoyed it!
Come back in the winter or spring when everything is white and sunny. Lake Louise can't be beat.
Lake Louise is absolutely stunning ! This whole trip has been a visual marvel & I thank you both for taking us along 😃.
Canada has some truly incredible nature to experience. Of course! Plenty more coming the next 2 Sundays from Jasper National Park!

Amazing video! I can’t believe how incredible that place looks.

Thank you! We loved those early sunrise mornings at Morraine Lake! Definitely add Banff and Jasper to your list.
Thanks for such great videos and details compared between the two lakes, I hope to visit there sometimes, keep going places and take us with you
So glad you enjoyed it! We will absolutely keep bringing you more travel adventures! ☺️
Well information. Good show. Good information.
Thank you 😊
what are the stars like at night? can you see the milky way pretty clear? any light pollution?
Love the video! Such gorgeous views. I haven't been to either lake yet, but definitely a bucket list spot to visit some day.

Great video, but why is the sound so loud? I have to put it on the step just above muted to not get a headache from the volume.
Absolutely stunning scenery. Great video!!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. Much of the credit goes to nature for this one!

Thanks! We were there mid-September, so you you should see beautiful colors on the Larch trees 😊
Morraine Lake is the most beautiful lake in Canada hands down
Hoping to go in 2023
Can I drive to the parking lot before 5am and park there? We plan on visiting at the end of June and want to make sure we get a spot before the crowd.
I believe you can get into the parking lot before 5am, but they cutoff sunrise entry times slightly before sunrise, which changes throughout the year.
@@KeepGoingPlaces Thank you!
Better hikes at Lake Louise and easier/cheaper to get there. Damn shuttles
Lake moraine much prettier than lake Louise
