+Pedro Pazmiño Yep Angus baring his soul for all to see. I also love the look Bon gave him at the end of the song, it was like "man your blowing these poor fuckers away"
Totally agree, this is one of my favourite live performances by any band of all time. Look at the crowd though, they look a bit square, it was a very long time ago though
I remember seeing them in 1980 in Springfield, Massachusetts and I could not believe that Angus could play like that with his body and especially his head moving around so wildly...he really is a legend.
THAT is a deep question. He is like a bouncy worm, but his tone is this fat and steady blues tone to die for. It must be all in the back muscles. He clenches the guitar with his torso; head, neck, and legs bounce? I ain't gonna experiment!!!!
Blah Bob you just have no fucking idea .."link me to a video blah blah blah" :/ Brian is nothing but a screecher, almost unlistenable for me and I never ever play his albums apart from small doses of Back In Black for the music, not the screeching. Who gives a shit what his 'vocal range' is technically? He was never a patch on Bon .. sorry.
The BBC commissioned this concert for broadcast on TV.It was the BBC who invited the audience. They picked staff etc rather than rock fans to fill the venue. No one paid for tickets as such. That is why you have bemused people watching
The sheer disrespect to Brian Bon is insanely good and will never be topped, yeah, but Brian also is one of a kind, and saying he's unlistenable to is just wrong
Love Bon Scott!! Saw them live a lot in the mid 70’s as a teenager and only ever with Bon. Never wanted to see them without him. I was so lucky to be in Melbourne in the mid 70s. They were all so young!
Was bought this album in 1978 by my then girlfriend. Played once and back in its sleeve, back to my Deep Purple. 38 years later I absolutely love this track. Bon Scott, his voice, personality and history. RIP Bon. Scottish/Aussie legend.

I have been a pretty heavy music fan for almost 3 decades and this is one of the best performances I have ever heard. I think they won the rock and roll.
I thought the same thing....................it was new & he just started using that year i believe. Ken Shaffer of N.Y. patented the SVDS (ShafferVegaDiversitySystem) in 75-76. Very advanced for it's day since he was using VHF via antenna's which were subject to local interference through police calls or any dispatch service in the area. He incorporated some really high-tech filtering & compression componets etc. Kiss & Pink Floyd also were using it at the time.
Remember that's part of his sound that wireless gave him the sound he also used it in the studio also.even to this day the same unit he used back then.
There are no words to describe how the hell I love these guys and this video. I am 21 years old now and i can't understand how music like Miley Cyrus etc. can be listened to.
TheCrazyKenshin Not to sound "corny", but it "warms a old-man's heart" to see your comment. I was addicted to this band the first time I heard them in 1976. Bon, and the band in general, was at that time something that broke the boring, every band sounds the same, bullshit, that was F.M. radio. You have to understand that in those days, "stadium rock" bands like Boston, Foghat, Journey,Areosmith ruled the airwaves, so bands like AC/DC (and Def Leppard) were a nice change. They spoke to a certain group of the population that were doing the shit the band were writing songs about. If you like AC/DC then you might also like to check out Trapeze, Legs Diamond, Moxy, and Budgie.
Yet another jaw dropping performance. Nobody does it like AC/DC. It's a shame that Bon Died but i don't understand the hate Brian gets. Bon's parents told Malcom to continue the band. If AC/DC would have quit when Bon died we would have missed out on a ton of great rock & roll music that only AC/DC can do.

Bon could sing like no other and with such soul and great lyrics. A true artist. Met him in Atlanta and told him I was going to make it as he signed my back stage pass. He smiled and said I bet you will. Before I was to sign with RCA Records, I thought how much time passed until I saw my dad after touring and I put the pen down and walked out. If you just read Bons lyrics, you can see just how gifted he was at catchy phrases and verses.

Each time I see Bon Scott I think of Moses. Bon was told in the beginning that the band would see greatness but he would not get to see it and he took the band to the edge of the promised land and then he was taken from us and the band continues to be one of the greatest. 👍👍
Could AC DC have reached the Top of the Rock, if had it not been Bon Scott the lead singer at these initial steps? Sincerely, I have serious doubts. I cannot remember a lead singer, who doesn't play any instrument, with such a power on everything he does. Such a magnetism between him and the crowd! Simply faultless! Talking 'bout the crowd...... his effort is even more valuable with this crowd, I agree with the one who wrote, a little bit below, that they looked as if they were listening a sermon in the church while actually, completly blind and unaware, they were witnessing the birth of one of the best rock bands in History.
Yes, of course, I definitely agree. However, I didn't really want to discuss about his ranking on the rock lead vocals scoreboard. I only wanted to ponder about what could have happened to the band itself if the singer had not been him. Whether the mighty songs and Angus performances woudl have been enough to take 'em to the high step they were when he tragically died. Just it. And I did so because, from my point of view, I see pretty hard to be on stage where everyone else has something to play and the lead singer has only his own voice and a mic. Same as it happens with Jagger, Mercury or even Axl Rose (despite I perfectly know that he played piano pretty well). I don't mind about their capabilities as musicians, I only care about the energy they've when are on stage. Energy that the audience takes as its own and allows the band to quickly climb to the top.
This is music. 0% posing - 100% rock and fucking roll.
you nailed it !!

What I was thinking, look at that "stage". Is nothing. Some sad lights and no bullshit, pure balls and rock n roll. Fucking amazing.

I love Brian he is such a good guy but there will never be another Bon. He was truly one of a kind
Quite possibly the most energetic guitar player of all time.
See him live
I saw them in 1983. Sorry I missed Bon. Don't know how he never passed out
I missed all of em. 😢 But it's still the greatest band. I started with ACDC at the age of 6 or so
45 years later and this song still kicks ass. A pure rock n roll classic. 🤘🏼⚡️🤙🏼
I remember seeing them in 1980 in Springfield, Massachusetts and I could not believe that Angus could play like that with his body and especially his head moving around so wildly...he really is a legend.
He plays with his entire body, you can even hear it on tape. Every note has his entire being poured into it.
Truly. And to think he kept that up for what, 40 years?
How can Angus move around like a mad man and still produce flawless guitar sound??
THAT is a deep question. He is like a bouncy worm, but his tone is this fat and steady blues tone to die for. It must be all in the back muscles. He clenches the guitar with his torso; head, neck, and legs bounce? I ain't gonna experiment!!!!
Some distortion doesn't hurt 😂
Greatness that's how
Those kids probably didn’t realize the history in the making. One of the greatest RR bands of all time!

An understanding of rock and a superior musicality that current corporate bands can't top! Don't waste your time, kids... take it to the masters!!

Bon scott did play instruments , he was a musician.
Miguel M.T. There's a lot of better live singer/ voices but he's a great singer
Miguel M.T. I dont think so, actually who really can remember any lyrics to brian johnsons acdc songs.nothing like bon scotts acdc.
