I'm a simple person, I ate a timtam once from my math teacher 2 years ago, I convinced my parents to get me them for christmas. I remember eating it in one day. I watch this video, I order more timtams for myself.

The Tim Tam Slam is absolutely legit. It looks like you did it through milk and I would HIGHLY suggest doing it again but with hot coffee. It's next level cause it melts the inside when you suck it through, while the outside stays solid. I know the milk made it mushy but the heat of the hot coffee adds a whole other layer
I was introduced to them this way and I WILL NOT enjoy Tim Tams in any other fashion

I practically survived off of these when I lived in Australia. I'm glad that they're a bit easier to find in the U.S. now.

As an Aussie living overseas, I'm curious to know which factory these came from. The ones we get in Australia are made locally, but in other countries they're usually made elsewhere, and I find that the flavour and texture is often a bit different. Especially the outer chocolate coating, which seems to be altered to suit different temperatures and humidities.
I'm going to guess, the ones in the video were imported. Only limited Editions are available in Aust and not Elsewhere and he had the chilli, salted caramel and honey

Ahh. It’s like the city of Aloha. Everyone thinks it’s pronounced like the Hawaiian greeting. It’s not. We still joke that the mailman or construction worker must’ve misplaced/ misspelled Aloah and we got stuck with Aloha instead. The benefit is that we always know who the tourists are.

It's funny because the Gisborne (hard G) and Manuka (ma-noo-ka) are both New Zealand "flavours", Gisborne being a region in the North Island and Manuka being a tree with a flower that produces a strong flavoured honey (supposed medicinal benefits if you're into that).

if you really want to pronounce Gisborne like a Kiwi you say Giz bin or Gizzy
in the summer of 2012, i purchased a locking briefcase at a costume shop in northeast Australia for the specific purpose of transporting 12 boxes of Tim Tams back to the United States. the brief case was cheap and provided airport security with 20 minutes of entertainment when, upon arrival at customs, the locking mechanism decided it was not prepared to divulge any Tim Tam-related secrets.
My ex worked at Campbell's and introduced me to Tim Tams. For god's sake, everyone needs to try the Tim Tam straw! (For those who don't know, you take a small bite from each side to "open" the cookie, then drink coffee through it and finish by eating the warmed from the inside Tam!)
Way back, in the halcyon days of 2004, Arnotts, the manufacturers of tim tams, Monte Carlos, and various other nummy, biscuity things, made a deal with a couple of liqueur makers and created the biscuit that will forever haunt me with its absence.
In the vein of Mint Slice: *Kahlua slice biscuits.*

As an Australian some advice with the slam. Try to bite off as little from each end as possible (usually bite the middle of each end, not the corners), and then use it as a straw for as long as possible until the tim tam has lost all integrity and then consume. You're welcome.

It’s pretty common! Not that you do it all the time of course. You may have simply missed the boat where your peers haven’t done it before. But now you’re going to share the trick with others. :)
Anyway for me, I learnt to bite the tops and bottoms so i find it funny when people eat the corners. My recommendation as per others is to do the slam with a hot drink. It melts instantly. And of course v messy. Enjoy!

My favourite is the white choc and caramel, but that's just cause those are my favourite sweet things in general!
Best Cadbury chocolate flavour is Caramilk (Caramel+White Choc) and I will not accept argument on this point

As an Aussie who has been to the Murray river a few times growing up yeah that Tim tam is fantastic.

I got these all the time when living down in Australia and New Zealand; but down there, they're only $4AUD (€2EUR) in the supermarket, while here in Europe you gotta buy them online and they're around €8 a packet!

Bite both ends off and drink some hot tea through it before eating the rest. It's a real trip.
