Dude casually started drumming a beat then proceeds to do it 1 handed for a few seconds.
Yup. Dude is super talented. I think he is a master at music theory which can help him "predict" how a song might go, which helps a bit (not saying that he has a masters degree or anything like that, maybe he does idk).
About his “predictions.”
Jarrod is very much blind guessing based on his experience playing numerous internet songs since 2014. Every type of music tempo has been thrown his way, and he has been stumped at times.
@@SilverFang95 I wouldn’t really go as far as saying master at music theory since music theory is a broad encompassing term, but he is an experienced drummer. Once you have enough experience improvising on the kit, it becomes second nature.
When he's not predicting things and actually knows the music, he is a *god* at making good percussion tracks. One thing that comes to mind is Camellia - Bermuda Triangle (Feat. The8BitDrummer). The percussion on that song is nutty, especially on the breaks where it's just him playing for a few seconds.

Jerod's drumming skill is really amazing. He can pick up the beat quick and guess the progression of the songs he play, switch to one hand play flawlessly, and the most amazing one is talking while playing. Talking and playing at the same time is the hardest imo

I don't know much about being a musician... I just enjoy the music.
But 8bit Drummer is so amazing with how he can easily jam out with any song. And most of the time, he can just transform any song from "Awesome" to "Wicked Awesome." He just adds a whole new layer to the music!
