Ive installed these and they close randomly all the time. The sensor is very sensitive and can close the valve off condensation or high humidity. They arent great.
I put them in all the time, here in Texas we have slab foundations so when a water heater is in the center of the home we can't run a pan drain, this is what we put in when we can't run a drain. I would recommend wrapping the sensor in a paper towel, it will corrode and go bad.

That should be installed on the main water line
I’d use the moen for main valve this is good for individual units because of the water sensor. This on a main isn’t going to sense leaking upstairs

That will fail in 12 months. The motor is not strong enough.
