I said where what she said get out of the car so me and my wife got out off the car that's poke salad she said let's pick it she said we can eat it now but when it flowers it turns to poison and it will kill you so like Elvis said we pick a mess of it and took it home and cooked it for supper she showed us how with ham hocks neck bones rice and beans😊😊 that was good eating gone Elvis you talk true Southern eating❤😂

She got arrested one night he was out her mind chasing all us with an knife wanted too kill us all so I out my children in back room close an lock the door and call 911 on her after they came too take her away an woman çop came back his your house phone she's not an happy camper right we are her she's going too jail so ßhe couldn't see us for two years on probation but during are separation I work so many jobs trying too please here just sleeping two hours an week it finally caught up with me I had anr real back stroke I when from an wheel chair to an cane till nothing I was determined too walk again so I did for myself and my 3 children too I always did without for my children too have things they needed I was never out of job made good money the more money I made she wanted more it was becoming an bad nightmare for after she got done with her profation she divorce me because I call the police on her she nothing in the divorce she wouldn't work too help me now my children are grown doing their own thing I don't see them that much now I had too start an whole new life for myself and move forward in life so did it wasn't easy but I did it Mrs.penpal I quess some people change when you get! Married she sure did wow!
I've had Polk salad. It is a tasty green if you pick it young and parboil it. It can grow head high on a reddish stalk. It has dark purple berries that I don't think are edible and will stain your hands and fingers purple and hard to wash off.

She said no it's Polk salad. I said poke salad? We parked and got out at that time it was me my wife and my oldest child. I am Latino my auntie is on my wife's side who is African-American and Blackfoot Indian. At that time of the year poke salad can be picked like Elvis said it looks something like a turnip green. Greens!! She said. You can pick and eat it now but when it flowers you cannot because it turns into poison and it will kill you. So like Elvis said we picked a mess of it. Which means a lot of it.
