That was my 2nd motorcycle, not as fast as the bikes today but was powerful and was rock solid and stable, I am seriously thinking about buying another!
I can remember a brand new ZX-7R K1 sitting on showroom floor at an Albuquerque Kawasaki dealer in the early 90's. We were all fascinated by that bike since none of us had ever seen one. I think it was priced around $10k - an incredible amount of money at the time. The bike was there for at least 2 years and had no takers....Sure wish we had cobbled together the dough for that all-time bad ass bike
Just bought a 98 yesterday immaculate only 21k genuine miles on it has a custom paint job white with red and black highlights and a Leo Vince end can , only complaints are it's heavy when not sitting on it to move and the steering/ turning arc is very limited when doing a u turn compared to any of my previous bikes but I guess that's normal with a fully faired bike. Had 3 hour ride through peak district bringing her home after buying ridiculously easy to ride on back country twisties and hilly A roads. Great wind protection at any speed ( I mean any 🤣) on the motorway and surprising acceleration power in 6th gear when slowing down to 50 for congestion then boom no need to down shift just boom as you were. My Hornet ( my last bike) while having decent acceleration from starting didn't have the same power mid or top end especially at speed on motorway cause being a naked bike anything over 70 was torture with the wind, but the zx7r no problem.
That's awesome! Something about the older 90's sport bikes. You nailed it with your comments. So happy for you bro! Not many of those out there that has been taken care of. Congrats 👏👏
It starts the exact way they all start even my 2002. Do you know what I find funny with the Awesome 7r, it doesn't matter what end can you put on them you can tell it's a zx7r from a mile away. I do love them though.
I think I used to own this bike. Sold it to a kid in Dayton years back. It had purple wheels back then, and didnt have the dent in the tank. Pretty sure its my old one because of the windscreen, front turn signals, rear turn signals and Muzzy exhaust. Didnt have all those stickers on it then either.
Man it would be awesome if kawasaki made a new one... like the current zx6r is really good for its money and in the 600 class but if they released a zx6r that is more expensive then the 636 and around the price of the other 600s they would kill the competition... but whatever...

This superbike is the most beautiful machine that has made by human hands!❤
Loved this bike when it came out. First bike that rocked the 190 back tire 🤤
96 the best looking year. Awesome bike.
For me 92 is the best looking year, but the 96 is also a beautiful bike
let the good times roll...
graduated high school in 97 and I lusted after this. I would go to the bike shops just to look at it and get the brochure.
Same with me..
Haha, same!

I’ve always loved the neon green windscreen on the ZX. So classical and I love how green the edge is
Thanks 😊
Same here. What brand is it? I'd love one for my ZX7R.
@@toddposton869 I believe it was Speedscreen or Zero Gravity who made them.
definitely a moto vibe! I need to hop on the ZX-7 wave before they're gone or not worth depreciating by riding it.
They are still a very awesome ride. Rock steady handling also!
BadASS!! Luv it!! Hold on to her, these old school holigans are becoming very hard to find.

Love my 98 7R!!

I saw that! Nice
sounds like the plastics on that bike are buzzing or something what is that buzzing sound ?
does anyone think this makes a good track bike if sorted out ?
Absolutely! The hearing is great for the track. Have the right suspension setup with the right tires and your gold!
BELLA!
