I fear there’s too much focus, in the preparation for these events, on the machinery and not enough on the riding of them. The best machinery in the world isn’t going to help you if you can’t ride. You can clearly see the most successful climbers have a fluidity of movement on the machine. They’re not stuck on the seat and pushed around by the movement over the terrain. They don’t fight the bike, they’re relaxed and they move with it. It’s beautiful to watch.
Hi Stefan, Here is the link to the film we made with the CR1000 ruclips.net/video/1HzIABat-v8/видео.html .We had a lot of requests to see it race so we made it happen. The next video featuring the bike will be off the scale :)
Max, you need to build a project bike and do this event (Yzilla with longer swinging arm perhaps?). For anyone who hasn’t been, try it! The food, wine, people and crazy bike engineering makes this one of the best off-road events on the planet! Fact!👍
Not a bad idea at all Mr Redshaw... although i think we might need two yzilla motors to be competitive! lol I've never been to an event quite like this one, i'd recommend it to everyone. The perfect spectator sport!
Seen lots of crashes but NO carnage. Still, I always enjoy watching. Didn't think anyone was going to make it all the way up, but it looks like you saved that till the end. Cheers, from the USA 👍👍
This gets me wondering how a trials bike would do. Not just going for it on the difficult bits but using its size to create a kind of alpine pass route up it. No idea if it would be any good or fall over right at the start but its got me thinking.
@@ohboy2118 we had a local "widow maker" where I grew up as a kid, one of the Coal Mines Maggie shut down got turned into a Crosser track with a Huge man made Hill climb.. My dad nearly paralysed me as a kid on that hill.. didn't get the wheel over the lip and sent us flying, after cartwheeling all the way down the crosser landed on my back..was about 8yr old, couldn't walk for about 2 weeks lol.. used to love living there.
Checkout hillclimbing in Andler, Belgium. Its the craziest one i know about. Its also known as the moto graveyard... There are yt Videos too. Go check it out 😅
But...ARRIVE many bikers arrived, but about PASSE, ross the line ?? Not a single crossed the line !! Ops, I was wathing at 08:30, but after 8:40 eeryone strtted crossing the ARRIVE line !!
Don’t want to offend any one , little tip for you old school, try not to chop throttle keep it consistent and point feet down when hill gets steep angle body to lie of the land , keep them elbows high ! Now go try get up them bloody hills 😂
there's always something Gnarly about trying to go up a massive almost vertical slope just to be the king of the hill when in reality there's a better chance you're going to come tumbling down that hill and have a destroyed bike.

When I was a kid around 10 my Dad took me to watch hill climbs. I never seen jumps on a hill back then I'm 65 now
That top lip is basically 110°. Most certainly isn't even 90°.

What about a Rokon style bike?
@@wolfmantroy6601 Thats another interesting idea because you could load more weight over the front and not lose traction so easily.
The last 50' of that climb looks so hard... and so much fun trying to defeat it.
Crazy entertainment
🎉awesome 💯 2cr500.
1000. Rocks .
check back later tonight. We will have something special with the CR1000 uploaded:)
Wish we had this level of hill climbing here in the U.K. or do we???? 🤞🙏
I've never seen a hill that big here unfortunately. 100% worth the 24 hour drive there and back :)
The Widow Maker at Tom's Farm was the closest we would get to that I think.

Freaks turning themselves into ragdolls 🤣
If they would stand they have the lowest center of gravity and that gives them the best opportunity up the hill I've done it thousands of times

Old 300 Honda Fourtrax and it's over.
Just once I’d love to see some dude on a rokon just walk up that hill & think nothing of it🤣👍🏻
Qualquer trilheiro do Brasil sobe isso aí kkksksks
Your YZ500 could do that so easy, show these long swing are people how it's done!
i'd hate to see it crash down the hill if I got it wrong though..lol
На минскаче капусту с колхозного поля писдил, с мешком капусты легко на такую гору въезжал.
