Those ruins up the trail from the kilns and trestles are what's left of the Thomas Iron Works Hokendaqua plant. That large building is in historical photos of Thomas Iron. I've been going there for about 22yrs, before all the dang cave crickets took over the tunnel. That tunnel will take you to the large building btw.
I was just doing research for my new video and came across your channel. Great job and so fun to see what you find next! I was just in this area a few months ago and had no idea it was here. I'll be waiting for more videos! Safe travels!
Working on an ultimate compilation video for PA ruins we've explored so far. :-) Then I need to work on all the other ruins in other states. I have new camera gear now along with a drone, so hopefully the videos get better :-)
I'd like to think that I have a healthy respect for insects :-), but that experience put me to the test. It was more the numbers than the actual type of insect.
It's amazing how creative people are what with their 2 brains and all.
14:00 it's sad that the Thomas Iron works ruins are being torn down

@@RusticVentures I'l be looking forward to it!
Those crickets wont harm you. They are sensitive to the light and jump towards it. Freaky, but harmless.

i was there years ago, and went in that same tunnel!! shined a light on the ceiling, saw those little fellas, and ran out of there as fast as i could
I wasn't paying attention to what was crawling on the walls, caught me by surprise, lol. I know how you felt!
Pete the drummer brought me here subbed!
Very cool, but please don't go out by yourself
