I'm really struggling with the ears.... I've watched and tried many times. Will keep trying. I just don't really "get it" for the inner ear. Ugh Not giving up. Practice practice practice
Hi! The ears are definitely the most difficult part out of everything here. Working into a chain neatly does take some practice. Which part of the ears are you struggling with? Let me know, I might be able to help 😁
On the inner ear, after the single crochet stitches, it goes down hill. It just looks like a little blob. I haven’t tried adding the outer ear piece, yet, though. I’m going to try to do that and report back!
Ooh.. I have just finished the head, really exited to make this cutie ! When starting this video i just get a strange green screen. And your voice. I dont think i manage to do this without seeing what you do. Hopefully i either figure it out by just listening or.. make another headpiece and have a snowman. I will be back ;)
Struggling a lot with the ears also. I’m fine while working into the back bums, but lost once getting to “continue working into the front” when it looks like I’ve already reached the end of the round. I end up with 9 stitches not 7 when finishing the inner ear. Tried several times and it always turns out the same so I’m obviously misunderstanding something. First time making anything like this and was really encouraged by how the body turned out, but a bit stuck with these.
Hi! Here’s a photo from a different pattern on my blog that might help to highlight where the front of the chains are: www.ollieholly.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Untitled_Artwork-3.jpg Hope this helps! Abby

You are not alone 😅
I love your tutorial but I will admit I used an alternative option for the ears as I could clearly follow your instructions.
Can you share the tutorial you used? I’ve tried making the inner ears at least 10 times and they’ve turned out crazy every time!
Why do my ears look so wonky 🥹

Ahhh ok, it was a trust-the-process kind of thing. My ear actually looks pretty decent!@@olliehollycrochet
