    I was at the inlet by the oceanic today. I snagged a lot of rigs with no bites so I moved to second street. Ended up catching my first Tog , a small one 8 inches and lots of small Sea Bass. Tons of fun.

      No way!! Congrats!!!! My most memorable fish was an 8" bluefish...it was the first fish I caught in the surf. You'll catch bigger tog now that you know the feeling, but that first one will always be the most memorable.

    Wow Jay, never saw a fisherman catch his last snag with the fish still on! Better play the lottery on way home bro. Jay from Latrobe, Pa.

    Love watching you fish bro - very relaxing - curious if you are ever able to tell if you caught the same fish more than once ??? Keeping putting these out - the weather has been gorgeous !!!

      Thank you!! Weather has been GREAT, I can't complain at all about it! I'm not too sure if I've ever caught the same fish, it would be pretty hard to tell. It would be pretty cool if I did!

      They work good, but they are expensive!

    Good info on this video. Liked the release the bail and hope they swim out. Do the holes on the rocks get exposed at low tide?

    • @ReelJayB
      @ReelJayB  23 дня назад +2

      Thanks! The holes are deeper, so you wouldn't be able to see at low tide. I always try to slowly drop my line down and move it a few inches at a time. Sometimes I'll find a hole, but I don't like it because it snags easily...so I'll try to find a bigger hole. I'm tired of losing gear so I take my time to find a good one.

    After the third toadfish, I would move to a different spot. 😂

      HAHA sometimes you just have to catch a bunch to get them away. I'm editing another video, wait till you see what I got...and it's not a toadfish!

    What time of year is good to catch keepers there?

    • @ReelJayB
      @ReelJayB  23 дня назад +1

      Keepers are tough to catch, but eventually you'll probably get lucky and land one. It's all based on water temps for tog, they prefer it in the 50's.
