Korean Black Eagles Airshow March 4, 2024 at Clark, Philippines

The Black Eagles currently comprise eight T-50B pilots who have been participating in over 50 airshows each year. With their impressive precision flying and thrilling stunts, the award-winning group is lauded as one of the most popular aerobatics teams in the world.
The Black Eagles' performances are a breathtaking display of skill, precision, and teamwork. The team performs around 30 aerobatic maneuvers, including loops, rolls, and spins, as well as more complex stunts such as their iconic “Taegeuk”, in which the team creates the Republic of Korea flag with display smoke, and the "diamond formation".
The diamond formation is a signature move of the Black Eagles. The aircraft fly in a tight formation, with one aircraft in the lead and the other seven forming a diamond shape behind it. This formation requires incredible precision and coordination, as the pilots must maintain a constant distance and altitude from each other while performing complex maneuvers.
Another impressive feat displayed by the Black Eagles is the "cobra maneuver”, in which the aircraft fly straight up into the air and then suddenly drop their nose, performing a sharp turn and flying away from the audience.
As they continue to represent Korea on the international stage, the Black Eagles serve as a source of national pride and inspiration, showcasing South Korean innovation and technology, and the best of what the Republic of Korea Air Force has to offer.
