NGL I'm only still subscribed to SMG4 because of his not Mario content, now in terms of laughs, I'm all about Shockhat734 and their Kirby content, mainly because I didn't grow up with Kirby so he's clean in my books, MarioSonicKirbyfan15 is also a pretty good channel complete with their adventures of the heroic all stars series, similar SM64 Machinima but for all ages to enjoy.

Also, he wouldn’t have gone down his spiral if that 1 stupid, ignorant mother used him as a scapegoat on the news instead of focusing more on what her kid(s) watch on RUclips like a more responsible parent would. And he was so close to 10 million subscribers too. Everything that happened to him, I’m NOT blaming him one bit.

i still believe the letter was fake. He deleted the original channel because youtube removed the ads and he was no longer making money. Any channel he would make would be at risk of getting demonitized so the only solution would be to make money off merch. Of course he cant sell merch of Nintendo characters so he faked the letter in order to get people to have no choice but watch the human puppets and then sell those puppets to make money.
The difference between the two is that Glitchy has taken preemptive measures to assure his channel doesn't get taken down. By focusing less on Mario related videos and more on original content, as well as toning down any swearing or graphic content, he's managed to keep both Nintendo's lawyers AND the RUclips monetization team off his back. Logan on the other hand, was always very open about how much he hated RUclips's oppressive policies, and so he didn't do anything to protect his channel until after it was too late.
Even if the lawsuit arc came in Nintendo would still have the power to sue smg4 anyway but they have to get though a law that protects smg4 from what I heard of it

My opinion on both of them SMG4: it's mediocre. It's kind of corny (especially the Mario does series). I sort of don't like the idea that they're going original. Also, the fanbase is pretty young, which I kind of don't like to be around in, but that is out of my hands. The older ones have some more charm than the recent ones. The recent redesigns do look nice, but it doesn't beat the OGs (and for Meggy, her OG and her 1st redesign) because I still remember them by heart. However, I can't find myself laughing in a modern SMG4 episode because memes aren't managed well. SML: Haven't watched since mid 2020, and from the looks of it, yeah I am not gonna watch one episode. I can assume the fanbase is also young. Update July 22 2023: changed my opinion of SMG4 from alright to mediocre. After watching his older videos, I find his newer videos more mid now. Something about the humor and the redesigns isn't cutting it for me.
SMG4 content just isn’t for me anymore personally. They’ve tried to mix the magic of their older content with more story elements and character development (along with more serious tones), and eventually I just lost interest in the stories they were telling. It’s strange, because they already have GLITCH. They’ve made many amazing shows that I really enjoyed, so I don’t see the need to make the main channel transition into heavy storytelling as well. They tried tying in Sunset Paradise to the main SMG4 continuity as well, which I wasn’t a fan of either. Luckily you didn’t need to be a heavy SMG4 fan to get into Sunset Paradise, so that was good. Just my personal opinion however.
SML "Jeffy's Tantrum" Controversy... So a video was made titled "Jeffy's Tantrum". The video itself was about Jeffy wanting to buy an app on his tablet that costed like 2 or 3 dollars... Basically like buying a Subway Surfers character. So when Mario never agreed to buy the app, Jeffy went "Kid not having robux because her mother wouldn't buy here some" mode. Jeffy throwed the couch of of the balcony or upstairs and then THE FREAKING TV... Making Mario beat Jeffy... A few minutes or days later Jeffy was depressed... Because of that Jeffy wanted to commit su*cide to end it all... Imma stop there... When Jeffy tried to hang himself... [Luckily he didn't]... A kid tried to do it and when the mother saw she was FURIOUS, CAUSING A LAWSUIT OVER SML AND THE VIDEOS AND CHANNELS BEING ERASED... WOW!!! That's all I know dont hate on me...

I think Jeffy himself was the real catalyst. Most of SML's audience follow them because of Jeffy and in the process neglected the OG viewers (I'm one of them) that were around since the beginning of their beloved series, "Mario & Luigi's Stupid and Dumb Adventures." Granted, I haven't looked their channel in over 4 years so idk if they really did fall off.

Just wanted to say that SMl used to be hilarious, and entertaining. I don't plan on watching the new videos, but will probably watch the old ones again for nostalgia.
The only difference between SMG4 and SML is that SML used the plushes (which some would get destroyed). Nintendo soon made a notice for them that they need to stop using the Nintendo characters for their content. SMG4 gets to keep their Mario, Luigi, Peach, and a few others, except for Spike and Bob, who received redesigns.
I always thought that Bob was already an original character. Especially Chris and his friend (I forgot his name sorry) but Boopkins and Bob’s redesign looks so cool!
The difference is that when Nintendo knocked on Glitchy’s door, he did took immediate action to prevent another thing like that happening again, such as reducing the languages and redesigning some characters. Sure I will admit it did slow them down, but tbh it was for the best. Not to mention he was using Garry’s Mod for most of his videos, which sorta reduced the chances. SML on the otherhand, it’s been well documented that Logan has been very vocal about YT’s policies as he never really cared on what YT or Nintendo think of their channel as whenever their channel gets demonetized, he makes a backup channel and does his usual thing on there before that one gets demonetized and the cycle repeats. it’s understandable why they usually get demonetized over and over as I will admit there are lots of times when Logan goes too far with his videos (especially with some of the slurs and…other things…). Logan has gotten many many warnings to make his content less vulgar (that time when they got on the news honestly should of been taken serious for them), but he just shrugged them off until it was too late when Nintendo began to took notice (ik all of this isn’t just Logan’s fault as you also have the parents that don’t know how to monitor what their kids watch). Plus, since he was using plushes licensed by Nintendo, that left him more vulnerable to Nintendo being Nintendo.
The issue with SML is that they relied on using the Mario brand to get more people to watch it, none of there videos have a single thing to do with Mario, it's literally just an adult show with mario plasted on it to get views. SMG4 on the other hand used to be a Mario parody channel, the videos actually had a good involvement with Mario, he isn't just plasted on, now they do more of their own stories but they actually have their own characters and don't use Mario as a clickbait monkey. Mario's still in SMG4 because he's what it started as and he still counts as a parody. SML Mario is literally just some poor guy with Mario's name and body. SMG4 Mario is a parody of the original character.
I think it would be impossible because smg4 and SML are different SML is plushies and puppets smg4 is Garry's mod but then again in modern maybe they could do something because SML has original puppet characters now so they might be able to get like Garry's mod models for it I'm sure some person has made Garry's mod models of SML characters

I think there was a reason why Nintendo restricted Logan from using the Mario characters permanently. Because it has nudity, sex, profanity, and more. Even though I am making an SML movie on Vyond and use profanity at a PG-13 level, what the people at SML did was screw with the minds of the Mario characters like Bowser, Yoshi, Kamek, and Mario himself with their traits of profanity and sex. The rest like SMG4 and Crazy Mario Bros had nothing to do with the traits. All they do have a little bit of profanity, they don’t show sex and nudity in any sort of shape or form af all. If I would make plush videos, I’d rather not show any bits of sex and nudity in any sort of shape or form. As for the characters of the plushies, I’d do a bit of things, not like nudity and sex or anything like that, but rather stuff like Mario not having a girlfriend, and Bowser and Junior tolerably and would have a confrontation with Junior when he does something like breaking a TV. I’d keep my content mostly “family-friendly”, although it would have violence sometimes.
I heard that the country where SM4 is from, the laws aren’t strict with Nintendo. But they did change some of the Nintendo characters like Bob and Fishy Boopkins in more of their style even SMG4 persona and SMG3 did as well, so maybe in the future if things get more touchy they have to change Luigi and Mario’s style also. It does suck I will say because they both worked so hard on those fanfic stories of their own style and Nintendo is getting touchy about it.
They changed the models to seperate them farther from Mario. They aren't going to do away with the game characters though. Bob and Fishy Boopkins changed because they were unique characters, so they got unique models

SML was my childhood, but ever since Zeke left, things were never the same! And the drama bts (behind the scenes) is all over the place. I felt sorry for Logan, but no I don't anymore - ever since the RIP of GameCubeDude300 YT channel! SMG4 became my new favorite! I'm not much of a meme lover, but he (or should I say, they, since he has his own team) make me LMFAO. Their old videos were funny and crazy sure, but they did change over the years (some may hate them, but that's life and RUclipsr rules). At least Luke doesn't pull that card on any of his characters.

Because SMG4, sure the jokes can be unfunny and as you said it isn't his fault, but he takes the time to write good skits and stories with some great slapstick jokes (it depends if you like slapstick) and can be serious when needs to be. But SML doesn't write many good skits anymore and they kind of make you hate everyone (at least in my opinion. It's to the point where Cody and Goodman are the only characters I actually like now). To be fair, there is only a limited amount of things you can do with puppets. It just depends what you like more. Smg4: good writing, pacing and great slapstick commentary. Sml: a world where literally anything can happen with no consequences and bland writing with a bunch of verbal jokes.

They tried tying in Sunset Paradise to the main SMG4 continuity as well, which I wasn’t a fan of either. Luckily you didn’t need to be a heavy SMG4 fan to get into Sunset Paradise, so that was good.

Because of that Jeffy wanted to commit su*cide to end it all... Imma stop there...

I think Jeffy himself was the real catalyst. Most of SML's audience follow them because of Jeffy and in the process neglected the OG viewers (I'm one of them) that were around since the beginning of their beloved series, "Mario & Luigi's Stupid and Dumb Adventures." Granted, I haven't looked their channel in over 4 years so idk if they really did fall off.

I think there is a reason. Sml uses lots of offensive jokes that youtube doesn't like. I hate sml and think their videos are absolute garbage, but this really didn't warrant the sml channel to be deleted.

The only difference between SMG4 and SML is that SML used the plushes (which some would get destroyed). Nintendo soon made a notice for them that they need to stop using the Nintendo characters for their content. SMG4 gets to keep their Mario, Luigi, Peach, and a few others, except for Spike and Bob, who received redesigns.
I always thought that Bob was already an original character. Especially Chris and his friend (I forgot his name sorry) but Boopkins and Bob’s redesign looks so cool!

The difference is that when Nintendo knocked on Glitchy’s door, he did took immediate action to prevent another thing like that happening again, such as reducing the languages and redesigning some characters. Sure I will admit it did slow them down, but tbh it was for the best. Not to mention he was using Garry’s Mod for most of his videos, which sorta reduced the chances.
SML on the otherhand, it’s been well documented that Logan has been very vocal about YT’s policies as he never really cared on what YT or Nintendo think of their channel as whenever their channel gets demonetized, he makes a backup channel and does his usual thing on there before that one gets demonetized and the cycle repeats. it’s understandable why they usually get demonetized over and over as I will admit there are lots of times when Logan goes too far with his videos (especially with some of the slurs and…other things…). Logan has gotten many many warnings to make his content less vulgar (that time when they got on the news honestly should of been taken serious for them), but he just shrugged them off until it was too late when Nintendo began to took notice (ik all of this isn’t just Logan’s fault as you also have the parents that don’t know how to monitor what their kids watch). Plus, since he was using plushes licensed by Nintendo, that left him more vulnerable to Nintendo being Nintendo.
Nintendo literally never knocked on SMG4's door. It was SMG4's decision.

Smg4 is in Australia I think so I think the copyright rules are different. They can get away with more than SML can.
The issue with SML is that they relied on using the Mario brand to get more people to watch it, none of there videos have a single thing to do with Mario, it's literally just an adult show with mario plasted on it to get views.
SMG4 on the other hand used to be a Mario parody channel, the videos actually had a good involvement with Mario, he isn't just plasted on, now they do more of their own stories but they actually have their own characters and don't use Mario as a clickbait monkey. Mario's still in SMG4 because he's what it started as and he still counts as a parody.
SML Mario is literally just some poor guy with Mario's name and body.

I think there was a reason why Nintendo restricted Logan from using the Mario characters permanently. Because it has nudity, sex, profanity, and more. Even though I am making an SML movie on Vyond and use profanity at a PG-13 level, what the people at SML did was screw with the minds of the Mario characters like Bowser, Yoshi, Kamek, and Mario himself with their traits of profanity and sex.
The rest like SMG4 and Crazy Mario Bros had nothing to do with the traits. All they do have a little bit of profanity, they don’t show sex and nudity in any sort of shape or form af all. If I would make plush videos, I’d rather not show any bits of sex and nudity in any sort of shape or form.
As for the characters of the plushies, I’d do a bit of things, not like nudity and sex or anything like that, but rather stuff like Mario not having a girlfriend, and Bowser and Junior tolerably and would have a confrontation with Junior when he does something like breaking a TV. I’d keep my content mostly “family-friendly”, although it would have violence sometimes.

I heard that the country where SM4 is from, the laws aren’t strict with Nintendo. But they did change some of the Nintendo characters like Bob and Fishy Boopkins in more of their style even SMG4 persona and SMG3 did as well, so maybe in the future if things get more touchy they have to change Luigi and Mario’s style also.
It does suck I will say because they both worked so hard on those fanfic stories of their own style and Nintendo is getting touchy about it.
They changed the models to seperate them farther from Mario. They aren't going to do away with the game characters though. Bob and Fishy Boopkins changed because they were unique characters, so they got unique models

SML was my childhood, but ever since Zeke left, things were never the same! And ever since Jeffy existed, it was fine for a while, some lmao, but then he kinda fell off, being overusing and putting the disability card; "If Jeffy goes/dies, the channel dies." And the drama bts (behind the scenes) is all over the place. I felt sorry for Logan, but no I don't anymore - ever since the RIP of GameCubeDude300 YT channel!
SMG4 became my new favorite! I'm not much of a meme lover, but he (or should I say, they, since he has his own team) make me LMFAO. Their old videos were funny and crazy sure, but they did change over the years (some may hate them, but that's life and RUclipsr rules). At least Luke doesn't pull that card on any of his characters.

Here is the main difference between them. Smg4, sure they use the models and characters and swore, but at the same time they were made in a way where most of it was gmod and gameplay sprites, which is free to use while SML used their branded plushes. Also one used to be good but now has lazy writing, and one slowed down but still has genuine good jokes. Guess which one is which.

Imma say both is the first one. The humor in SMG4 is unfunny. Sure, the memes don't live long unlike ones in 2014, which isn't SMG4's fault, but they manage memes poorly which is why I barely see myself laughing in Modern SMG4. And SML, haven't watched it since mid-2020, and I can assume it also has lazy writing.
@mrjuicejunior the thung about SMG4 is at least he tries. Because SMG4, sure the jokes can be unfunny and as you said it isn't his fault, but he takes the time to write good skits and stories with some great slapstick jokes (it depends if you like slapstick) and can be serious when needs to be. But SML doesn't write many good skits anymore and they kind of make you hate everyone (at least in my opinion. It's to the point where Cody and Goodman are the only characters I actually like now). To be fair, there is only a limited amount of things you can do with puppets. It just depends what you like more.
