I just finished installing one set of their shocks and I'm very impressed. Great price point and the factory shocks on my 75 Honda CB 360t were done. This bike is a rebuild for me (that's what I bought it for) and shocks were one of the easiest things on my list I wanted to change. A lot of people think shocks on a bike are hard to change but they are probably the easiest thing to ever do to improve your bike. Just a few minutes and you're done. Plus, the quality of your ride will improve dramatically.
These are good shocks. Even the stock ones are better than you'll find in some upper end shocks.
Good video as well.
Ikons look like the way to go. Thanks for the rear suspension information. Nice video.
Never knew that ikon are koni. Every day's a school day huh
Love it ! Thanks for the thorough explanation - super helpful
So helpful! Thanks and subscribed
Would be great if you also offered progressive or upgrade springs for the 350 twin with external springs. These springs are hard to find new and most old ones are worn out.
We are working on it
For the front end? That would be amazing! Can't wait.
Dang wish the ikons came in chrome with the shroud. I'm going to pick up the stock ones at some point.
They do, but they are more expensive. Special order.
Any idea when the heavier duty rebound shock all in black will be available thanks, Jack
thanks
Just put the Heavy Duty shocks onto my 1973 CB450 K6. I weigh 200 lbs even. The shocks are way too stiff. Hitting even the smallest bump feels like I might dislodge an organ. Almost no sag when I mount the bike (at least amount of preload) and even when smashing a big pump in the road with a passenger, the rubber stopper has not made it half way up the shock.
Good to know. I’m going to stick with stock replacements for now. Yours should break in after more riding.
Hey Brenden -- So let's say I go with the Ikon shocks. I have a CL350, I'm only about 140lbs, and only doing street riding around Los Angeles. What setting should I have it on so I don't get launched off my seat if I mistakenly hit one of our many potholes? Maybe 2-3?
It's all based on feel. However rebound adjustment and spring pre-load need to correlate. Basically don't run rebound all the way soft and the springs stiff and vice versa.
I have a 1981 cm 200 Honda TwinStar, my clymer Honda service manual does not have a part number. Can't find one on the shocks either. I'm a little over 200 lbs, do you have a shock recommendation for me. I've learned a lot from your channel, hope to hear from you soon. / Best regards, Joe
Do you have the higher end, "Dial-a-ride" Icons in 330mm / 13", eye (not clevis) style? The rear shocks on my '93 Nighthawk 750 (RC38) hammer my spine on roads with expansion bumps, practically throw me off the seat. 170 lb rider.
Would you consider anything different for a 1978 XL350 bc its an enduro? Thanks just susbcribed and have lots of catching up to do.
Will the heavy duty shock make the bike sit higher ?
which ones would i need for a cm400c? thank you
Hey, do you think the Ikon shocks would fit on my 2005 CB250?
what about if you are short like me can I get a shorter version so I can sit flat footed I have a 1981 kawasaki csr650
I actually only carry shocks made for the twin and four cylinder 60’s and 70’s Honda’s sorry!
Just put the heavy duties on my bike.
So for a softer ride (have bad back) does one want less or more rebound stiffness?
It's a balancing game. It is what feels right for you and the bike
When will there be more standard ikon sun stock and is there two for one quantity or just one
Not sure I understand the question drake! Message our support for more info about the ikons we carry.
@@Common-motor sorry for the confusion I was asking when the standard Ikon rear shock absorber would be back in stock I’m trying to build a cafe racer out of my 1976 cb550four
