all i can say is: Pain. Lots of pain. Its like fighting a combination of Scrin and Reapers. Its fun, but i do not recommend doing this with anything less than a full squad. We tried a duo on T4 - we got our asses kicked right back to our home on Hellmire
My first mission I was with a full squad, but then the connection cut and it was just me. I just finished the main objective and started extraction, but I got swarmed so bad that for a full minute all I was doing was weaving and dodging among a horde of Voteless until the pelican came. Wild.
I did a civilian extract IN a city. It was a nightmare, there were zombies and tripods EVERYWHERE. I have been too afraid to go above difficulty 6, and we still barely finished the mission before dying at extract
Welp, there goes my theory that all superearth "colonys" are just homesteads and random military installations, and the only planet inhabitanted is super earth. But i like this way more it really lets you flush out the scale of it all.
breaker incendiary, stun grenades, autocannon working well for me. incendiary takes care of chaff, AC can also be switched to flak mode to take out both hordes and heavier troopers. normal AC mode can take down tripods with a few hits to the face and also bases if you shoot in the door. AC and rocket sentries are useless, gatling best so far. havent tried flame sentry yet. the new light armor is good cuz you can dodge all the zombie and reload quicker. what a mad update. cant wait for more illuminate enemies.
WHAT, A FLAME SENTRY? SINCE WHEN?!?! I think these current enemies are just the excursion forces so maybe other types will come in and settle once they have control of some planets.
Just fyi, the SAM sites may not always count on the summary screen. Had a few missions where there was only one SAM site, we got it up, and it wasn't counted towards exp. It's also gonna take a few days for me to figure out what works well against these guys, cuz the actual Squids (not the zombies) are tanky as hell, an overcharged railcannon shit to the face doesn't seem to phase em (two 90% shots will drop the walkers shield, tho)
I used a laser cannon and sickle, and swapped between them when heat got high. It worked really well because it seems like the Overseers are low armor high durability, so the laser cannon works wonders, and the sickle as a backup while the laser cannon cools down keeps the voteless off your back. Because they seem high durability, the scorcher works really well on the Overseers, and the dominator is nice too. I tried the normal diligence, but it just doesn't have the ammo for the hoard, or the kill speed for the Overseers.
My takeaway from this is that these guys aren't that much above and beyond what we had to deal with before, at least not to the extent some people make it sound sometimes. But loadouts sure look unusual.
@@animoack1181 I think the walkers are more or less the same level as the Annihilator tanks. Though unlike the tanks, even when you down their shields they can tank a shot from the orbital railcannon. They do however die with a single Recoilless to the eye if the shield's down
@@shoulderpyro To be fair, tanks are also harder to kill with AP 4 stuff unless they are unsupported and sit in a very bad position, so tradeoffs I guess...
@@shoulderpyrotanks still are oneshot with recoiless, the illumate harvesters/walkers is closer to a BT for HP. However the weakpoint (eye) is significantly weaker

We still having gotten their tier 4-5 like bile titans or the factory striders. The tripods are charger level (tier 3 I believe.
