The problem with direct drive (and also most inverter drive washers) is that if you put too much load on the motor it just fries the inverter board and its toast, you can't really do anything serious with them. Well you can, but not to the same extent as the universal motor washers

Wow, epic. But it simply proves how the machine isn't that well built at all and has a very light weight. Probably it's only around 63-70kg or so, but I'm not that sure

It is weill built. LG may have designed it lighter knowing that it would never spin unbalanced because of how sensitive it is.
