Operator Replacement Suggestions (ORS): Thorns: Any Lord. Cuora: Any Protector Defender. Eyjafjalla: S2 M3. L7 fine. Any Caster. Hoshiguma: Any Protector Defender (high DEF). Pallas: Any Instructor or Guard (2 block minimum). Mountain: Any Fighter or Guard (2 block minimum). Saria: S2 L7. Any Guardian Defender. Bring Lancet to help Hoshi as needed.
SilverAsh on S2 worked well for me as a Pallas replacement bc then he can both reveal invisible enemies a bit earlier and tank them. My SA on S3 couldn't survive (E2 60 no module). E1 max Whisperain worked better than my E2 20 Wandering Medic bc she's both tankier and heals better even at a lower level. Using S1M3 Wanqing instead of Zima let me replace Cuora with Mudrock.
S2 perfumer with module instead of ptilopsis can help sustain hoshi until you place a healer and I used Gladia instead of Pallas because she can pull the Crossbow Captains into Mountain so they die faster, I also retreated Cuora when the boulder trap behind her got turned off and placed another caster to kill the Fortuna faster
A tip for if you use this strategy on Normal mode: as someone else has mentioned in the comments, stones deal less damage to the wooden planks in Normal mode, so they would destroy them slower and hurt the civ standing on the future Honeyberry's tile more causing him to die early. To deal with it, until the planks get broken, temporarily cover you civ on Honey's tile with any free operator you can bring - high level Phantom on S1, Cardigan, Gummy etc. Just someone who can take a few hits until the planks break and then you can replace this op with a wide area Medic as in the video. Another tip: you can use a defensive (preferably) FRD (S1 Phantom/Gravel/mb Lyudmila from the future) to protect the running civs on uncovered lanes here and there to save them more hp for a higher winning chance. It might not be AFK that way, but this event's mechanics in general are AFK-unfriendly. A heads-up: Hoshi and Cuora or their replacements should be deployed as soon as the Gardener procs the stones from the relevant locations, so you can delay deploying Pallas, Ptilopsis and Saria until those 2 positions are covered if also lack DP bc of the pots diff. An extra tip: Zima can be freely replaced by any Flagbearer, 2-block in her position is not required. Myrtle/Wanqing etc. with masteries will help you deploy everyone faster.
One of my dumb civilians kept dying while waiting for Clement to wander over and disappear, and I couldn't figure out why, but I ran it a few times and then they just stopped dying. So if one of yours bites it, maybe just try a couple more times and they'll survive.
For those struggling with DP, OG Yato can tank 1 stone in Honeyberry or Zima's spot. Blaze can also work as a replacement for Pallas in case you're having problems with the block reduction.
i just finished this stage without a guide and without support units...it was pretty brutal :) i came to see how guides were....w no guides every rock was exploding my units...rocks rolling into 1 block unit not being able to block rocks...killing civilians..dogs weirdly ignoring my block counter...holes out of nowhere killing civilians at the last second..rock exploding side tiles was almost breaking my focus... top side i pretty much did the same concept...but the middle of the map was insane... i think without 3 elite 2 defender this would be very tough
I remember I got so angry and annoyed with all the things I had to keep track of last time that I rage quit and went to watch Ecko's guide. Came back this time for the very same thing because I forgot how to prevent the civilians from dying . This stage is.. eurgh >_>
ines for pallas is better, and had myrtle instead of zima because I cant seem to get enough dp to put down a defender on topside to catch the rock so both these ops helped. And ofc i used wisadel instead of eyja but did not deployed her before the plank to her right was broken (placed gummy before her).
I had to substitute a few, but it worked out, except one civilian died from bleed 5 seconds before Clement took his sweet time to go to the left and poof. I have no idea how or where he got hit somewhere. All the slots are occupied, so I can’t send out Gravel or Yato to block. Any ideas? Is there a way to heal civilians, like Perfumer’s passive?
also I noticed that when the rocks on the right, start to spawn sometimes the first civilian stay on the line that no one can block, so I manage to use shu S3 to prevent the rock reaching the civilian, if you dont have her, you can use a robot to block that rock bc of deploy limit, that prevent the civilian die of cringe before clement decide to peace out, I recomend friston since he is bulky and the 3 block
Had the same problem on normal mode. Figured out that the rocks had lower damage on normal, so the top middle rock launcher would have more chances to hit the first civilian before breaking the planks, so I needed an extra operator to block at least the first rock.

It's the rotational debuffs the boss does. It's RNG.
yeah fuck that dude
Thanks for this. I forgot how I did it last time, and this makes it super easy. Have a Merry Christmas as well.

I completely forgot how to do this, thanks.
Thanks for updating your AFKs when the event reruns 🎉
Merry Christmas Ecko!
Was able to clear the whole event last year thanks to Eckogen! so now I can just rest easy during this period! 😄
My boy at it again
Thanks for the guide!
yo ty, always lost track of the civilians between my units, this helped me a lot even though i used compleatly diffrent operators
my 1st civilian die before the fimal guy reach objective goal despite doing exact same thing with you
0:54 block that rock otherwise the civilian takes too much damage.
delay Pallas deployment if necessary to make sure you block the rock with Hoshi
Me definitely not waiting until last possible second to do CM for the rerun certs.

Thank you ❤
thanks for this video :)
Thank you
Thanks
annoying civilians and enemies that mess with your dp
you sure this ain't chapter 12?
Close Enough😶

no, cause the civilians have red bar, they are take as enemies, that healing effect only takes effect on blue ones, like the shield guards etc.

@@AntonioMonsterH Shu’s S3 slow can slow down the rocks? Omg. And I’ll try the robot too, Thank you!
@@IdealAnarchy I think I’ll try that for CM mode. Thank you!
Man i hate hortus de escapismo
Thank you!
