Im so glad Lithuania has been able to pivot from the quirky euro pop of the roop to something like this. No disrepect at all to the Roop, they're great too, it just seems like some countries stay in the same lane for too long when they get a taste of success and it gets predictable and boring (i.e. Cyprus, Sweden, etc.)

The "black foam" line is a reference to an ancient Lithuanian folk tale "Eglė the Queen of Serpents". A girl named Eglė (Spruce) is tricked into marrying a grass snake/man shapeshifter from the sea and becomes the queen of serpents. After many years in the underwater palace she becomes homesick and goes to visit her family on land for a while, taking her children (daughter named Aspen and three sons Oak, Birch and Ash) with her to meet her parents and brothers. Before she leaves, the serpent king teaches her an incantation to summon him so he can take her back to the sea palace and instructs to keep it secret. Later Eglė's brothers don't want to let her leave and interrogate her children to find out how to summon the serpent king and secretly kill him. Later when Eglė goes back to the sea shore and says the incantation, the sea foams up in blood (that's the reference!) which tells Eglė that her husband is dead. In her grief she casts a spell to turn the daughter Aspen who betrayed the secret into a frail tree to tremble in the wind, her sons Oak, Birch and Ash who held against the interrogation into strong trees and finally herself into a spruce. Also, while the first verse in this translation is more or less correct line-by-line, it may be hard to understand the meaning of the entire verse. It could be rephrased as "Knock knock knock - at night knocks at my heart a spirit, full of longing and accompanied by memories".

Fantastic performance but I don't think the LED clones really work. Preferred the weird abstract ones and the bit at 1:20 worked far better when she was facing the camera in her heat.

Finalas nusimato įdomus. Šį pusfinalį žiūrovų ir komisijos favoritai sutapo, tačiau praėjusiame pusfinalyje taip pat žiūrovų stipriai palaikyta ir Lolita Zero (tiesa komisija ją kiek nuvertino). Kol kas panašu, jog Monika Liu turi realiausius šansus išvykti, nes nors žiūrovų balsavime gali nutikti visko (t.y. ji gali likti ir antra), bet komisija, manau, jau akivaizdu pirmąją vietą skirs Monikai, o esant lygioms, komisija turi didesnę balsavimo galią.

Finalas nusimato įdomus. Šį pusfinalį žiūrovų ir komisijos favoritai sutapo, tačiau praėjusiame pusfinalyje taip pat žiūrovų stipriai palaikyta ir Lolita Zero (tiesa komisija ją kiek nuvertino). Kol kas panašu, jog Monika Liu turi realiausius šansus išvykti, nes nors žiūrovų balsavime gali nutikti visko (t.y. ji gali likti ir antra), bet komisija, manau, jau akivaizdu pirmąją vietą skirs Monikai, o esant lygioms, komisija turi didesnę balsavimo galią.
Ta prasme ? Pagal ką čia taip sugalvojai, kad žiūrovai nebalsuos taip už Moniką? Jei ji daugiausiai surenka tu balsų iš žiūrovų nė vienas nebuvo taip arti jos. Tavo pasakymas tai drambliuko svajonė.
@@laurynasurbutis9057 Aš turiu minty, jog žiūrovai gali užbalsuoti ir už Lolitą Zero. Ji su Monika Liu taip ir nebuvo susitikusi vienoje laidoje, taigi neaišku, ką žiūrovai palaikytų labiau.
