WARNING. It is not a DIY, it is an example of construction, I am not a professional. I just want to share the making of a mini RC excavator.
The excavator will be semi-scale, so not 100% identical to the real model, some parts are adapted according to the constraints of the scale model.

Hello from the uk... i just wanted to say, i love watching your videos. I'm an architect and find it so exciting to see the whole construction process you cover. Your machine builds are stunning, your a genius! Would you ever do a video of all your vehicle collection and explain why you chose to build those versions, how long they took, favourites and, most challenging etc. I could never afford this rc hobby even though i'd love all of your machines, keep up the great work matey!

I don't know what to say anymore. People already said it looks so easy to do. But it isn't. I can't handle this small size and therefore choose larger models.
It is so joyful to watch and makes me want to build parts of it too. I'm thinking about building a larger excavator arm without RC function (at first), just for the looks and faszination. Why not?

Wait a minute !! ... look at the size if that beautiful tiny toy in your hands... isn't it just magnificent ... it's do cute yet serious in performance ... it's hard to believe this little beautiful toy is actually a serious all metal hydraulic powered hand crafted
Did you have the pump and valve assembly beforehand? or did you just get lucky as far as making sure the dimensions worked with the space you had? I'd imagine you had the hydraulic unit beforehand, which would allow you to build around it. Is that not what you did here?? Genuinely curious.

Of course at size size of model, you take some precaution in advance, I printed the drawing and take some mesure and spec of all main elements. Some parts are incompressible like block valve or pump, some can vary like oil tank, the batterie or receviers than can take various configuration.

La yanmar est une 3.7t des années 90, donc gros capot moteur arrière. Ici c'est une 1,7t compacte elle ira ou la yanmar ne peu pas aller

Steve, I thought the pump is always on at an idling speed... .. could you please elaborate why in this model you chose to configure the pump to run only when you move the sticks.. thanks
I have this on all my models, pump start only in demand

I thought having the pump on a switch that makes it run at an idling low speed is the key to have stable pressure across the lines, and gives accurate smooth predictable response ... obviously your perform flawlessly as is and don'y require that ...thank you
How to control 2 sprockets with 1 joystick without needing an additional dual motor driver like that ?
It's mixed in the transmiter, with Open TX

No, at 4:27 it's the slip ring installation.
With all due respect, have you thought about making some kind of buisness utilizing your skills? You build awesome machines that no other manufacturer does, and the quality are on par with the best of the best. I can see people pay a lot for machines like these
Thanks, It's lot of work, it's hand made, not 3d printed or CNC milling. Lot of job for earning nothing (because customer want all for nothing) and in addition all problems due to after sale service, customisation of each model, exportation problems .... No thanks :-)
@@BartsteRCModels Yes, I get it, I imagined these could be problems. It's alright though, build what you want! I'm sure it's easier to build just for fun than to fulfill orders from people. Keep up the good work!

It's aluminium 0.8mm
