Awesome list Joe! This list made me miss Neal Adams even more and I wish I had collected his work in my younger days... :( My favorite the first one you showed. 👍👍
That’s a great list, Joe. I don’t have Batman issues 217, 222, 241 and 244 so I’ll replace them with Detective issues 397, 403 and 410. Finally, the gorgeous wraparound cover from Treasury C-51, which reprints the first Ra’s Al Ghul storyline, may be the best of all of Neal’s covers.
I learn something about comic books every time I watch a community member's video, and this is no exception...will re-watch it and write those numbers down and keep them at hand in case I come across any of them...thanks Joe and be safe my friend!
Jean thanks so much. My channel’s purpose has changed and there are more of these types of videos. Check my channel and you may see some more silver and Bronze Age info you might like.
Great covers, I never grew up with that era but I always loved the blue and grey batman with the yellow logo and I think he's the best artist for. Hopefully lll own one someday, but for now I'll have to track down the neal adams collection for a read
Great list, I just showed the batman 232 (facsimile version of course, I can't afford the paper it was printed on lol!) But at least I can read the classic book. Thanks for sharing the awesome top 10! Congratulations on 700!
I used to have them all, but I've only managed to rebuy 3 of them, well 5 if you count 2 facsimiles lol! My favourites of the Batman's you've picked are #217, because of the impact of the story as well as the cover, and the shredding of the silly stories and the more grown up approach going forward with the writing, I would of picked this up around Feb/March 1970 in the UK, which would of been the start of my teens. I also have to pick #222 if for no other reason that I'm a Brit and loved the Beatles. I also loved the story and like to think this 13 year old worked out the clues for the surprise conclusion, I'd like to think that but I probably didn't. My favourite Neal Adams Bat cover though is Detec #400, probably part of the reason is, I traded 3 comic runs of around 300 books to get my hands on it, considering when I bought it the first time it cost me one shilling, it had certainly gone up in price, lol! It is a great cover though, I have #396 to the present day at the moment, and still keep thinking of beginning the re-purchase of 1969 downwards! Thank you for the memories Joe!
Thanks for bringing back the memories, Joe - though I don't think it can be the "definitive" collection if it doesn't include "Ghost of The Killer Skies" (Detective comics 404)… One note on the video: I found the music to be really distracting. It's too loud, and the upbeat tempo clashes with your laid back delivery
Thanks for the comment. There are lots of great Adams Batman covers. About the music. I have been working on it and hopefully it is better on the newer videos.
These are so iconic! Love them. Thanks for sharing!
Happy to do it. May do another soon.

@@AnachronicComics Sorry, I made no sense with my comment until the correction/edit... lol
Great call on these covers. There were so many great ones out there that I'm not sure that could choose my favorite Adams cover.

Thank you sir for your support. Doing a rebuy of 1969 downward will certainly cost you. Good luck!
Yep, it probably won't happen especially at the moment, when I'm buying far to many new books!
Totally agree brother
So many great Adams Batman covers!
We are gonna be getting a Neal Adams varient cover for batman 135 (900) in May, it's gonna sell very well.
Looking forward to it!
