We should do a "one for one" exchange of all Hindus living in Bangladesh with an equal number of Muslims living in India. This will not increase or decrease, and will not affect the population size in either country. Hindus constitute about 8 percent of Bangladesh's 170 million people. That means 13.6 million Hindus will come to India from Bangladesh and an equal 13.6 million Muslims from India will relocate to Bangladesh. Is our government in Delhi ready to give this proposal serious thought? The whole exchange can probably be completed, in an orderly manner, in less than ten years. What is more important than how long it may take to complete, is getting the migration of people from each country to the other started.
A homeland for hindus/buddhists needs to be carved out of Bangladesh so that they can be safe in Bangladesh, similar to the carve out of Kosovo from Serbia
