I'm 40 and played this game religiously as a kid, my gaming buddy was a girl from my class, she got into Out of this World for SNES because of me too, both very solid thought games
Very impressive playthrough, especially the use of the cannon. You made beating the CPU on level 3 look easy. Brings back memories of playing against my brother as a kid. Thank you for posting this.
I used to play this videogame on my Amiga600 which it was totally better in graphics than NES. But I knew this game was old cause I did use the kickstart for Amiga500 to play it. I'm still surprised to see this NES version just comparing the graphic on my Amiga I thought this game was available on SUPER NES not NES. One of the funniest videogames in history no doubt!
Yeah I used to play this all the time at a neighbors house on his amiga500 that I ordered the NES version from like a mail order catalogue. I was super bummed out over the pared down graphics.

where are these games in my childhood? i got a NES compact disc and there were millions of games in there but i never found any piece like this.
0:18 LOL, dem faces ;s This makes me think that a Master System port could have been nice! Anyway loved this game on my ST back then (and the Amiga version is great too).
This game is so much fun hours upon hours with my brother playing it. Though we did always get mad we couldn't go attack the Mexicans or the Indians what they were attack us though
There was nothing about great in there. It said make america again the land of freedom. Even though prior to the emancipation proclamation during the war it wasn't a land for the free to begin with.
11:12 -12:16 That was the best minute and four seconds in video game history.

Waaaaaay ahead of its time in its uniqueness. Classic gaming.
One of the best NES games of all time if you ask me! Damn, playing this game with a buddy was fucking hilarious!!! :D
Samma! :D
@@gollese Samma…

I rented this game about 30x before my parents bought it for me. Thirty years later I still play it.
This is probably where my love for RTS games came from.
Still remains one of my all time favorite games.
I loved this game on my NES back in the late 80‘s
BEST NES/FAMICOM GAME FORVER.
The most hilarious Civil War game ever?
Yup.
I mean it was kind of made to be cartoony and silly
OMG after searching for an hour I finally found it!

I'm 40 and played this game religiously as a kid, my gaming buddy was a girl from my class, she got into Out of this World for SNES because of me too, both very solid thought games
It was based on a belgian comic called "Les tuniques bleues"
Favorite childhood game, I used to play it with my brother. Thank you for doing gameplay!

no wonder the south lost if they were that sad.
Me and my sister used to play this game for hours back in the day. This is an underrated gem.

04:03 epic tank battle!
Wow. I forgot all about this game. I loved it
lol weird gane! in the beginning of the 1st battle, i thought a guy fell backwards off his horse. just a yankee cannon rollin in.
This game is pretty much the grand daddy of the empirre game series

the 1st total war game
Ah the fond childhood memories of stomping the Rebels into the dust :)
I had it the other way around :D

@@penguinsrockist yea the confederacy always seemed to win the civil war in the game and took over the USA forever. Makes ya wonder about the makers 🤣
this game looks awesome!
I played on virtuanes emulator on pc in 2017
9:10 what even is this superhuman reaction time, wth xD
I thought the weapons would be hamburguers and hotdogs.
What an interesting game.
whats up witht he thunderstorm moving around?
stubby42642 it immobilizes whichever unit is standing under it for that turn
graphic, sound and speed is way better on amiga (makes minigames unplayable)
It wasn't better than on Amiga. Also the platformer parts were easier on NES. Amiga had it all slap stick style sped up.
GOOD GOOD GAME!!!!
I wish they would put this game on the virtual machine.
This game is so much fun hours upon hours with my brother playing it. Though we did always get mad we couldn't go attack the Mexicans or the Indians what they were attack us though

@Michael Richmond holy smokes I never realized it was a little dude with a sombrero. I always thought it was a random astronaut lol.
C64?
I don't get it.
Used to hate this game a lot, you either lose or you're unhappy with the results.
I can't believe the great Kemco created a weird game about a real old war between gringos.
SNES Liberty or Death
Nice👍
Wasn't this based on a French comic? That never came to the US, I might add?
True, it's interesting they brought this game over though.
Why does the blue team get 3 bag of money ?
That depends on how many countrys they command
Blue Team... nice.
frankytap the game started with level 3 Yankees and level 2 confederates, level 3 armies start with three sacks of gold
