Angies list won't even let you complain about a very bad place unless you sign up to be a member!!! You would think exposeing bad businesses would be a prioreity if they were legit!!!
lol "Angies advises staying away from anyone saying you have to take immediate action". That is EXACTLY how they themselves act when they call service providers to signup, one call closes no call backs or time to think.... makes you think
Yea when I opened my hvac company 2 years ago I set up with home advisor to get leads they sent me info on 15 leads out of 15 I only actually got in touch with 5 and 2 of the 5 were not even looking for a company but they charged me 30 bucks a piece anyway! My son was in hvac school at the time and working for me and he was showing his teacher some of our reviews from home advisor and they sent me his information as a lead and wanted to charge me 30 bucks for the lead!
@@atrain132 We went to Angie's List for duct cleaning 3 days ago. We spent over an hour moving furniture and other items in preparation for the 11 AM appointment today We got multiple emails and texts telling us to get ready.. At 10:45 we got an email telling us that they couldn't find a contractor to perform the work. They lied .Straight out lied.
If you do not sign a contract for the amount, you owe them NOTHING. They can upsell you all they want, if it is not what was agreed upon, they can pound sand. And you cannot do it all in an hour.
A duct cleaner is not a licensed mold assessor or industrial hygienists they aren't even allowed to say anything is mold unless tested by a professional.
I need to use negative air pressure cleaning because I have fiberglass dust in my vents from a foam bed that leaked it and the dryer made it almost microscopic. It took months to clean my house and get my pets health better
HVAC tech here. Duct cleaning is a complete scam. Look inside your ducts. They're all spotless. Air travels through a filter and an evap coil before the ducts. The cleaners bring a big vacuum that pushes are theough the ducts to clean them? Isn't that what your blower does? Think about it.
@@erichorton1440because you've seemingly never encountered a furnace that had anything less that perfect maintenance... some homeowners don't even know furnaces have filters, and even more are too scared of the things to even think about maintaining them, so they ignore it until something breaks and they call a technician, which you apparently haven't seen. Yes our return duct from our system in the attic has plenty of dust and I'm looking to find a company to clean it. This was time after my husband kept putting off the maintenence because we built the house new years ago but now he sees the maintenence that's needed yearly.@vro1899
Everything related to Angie,Handy,Angie list is scam ,this in a Criminal Enterprise that has been sued a couple times for bad practices, they are scammers even the owner has criminal charges

I get paid 60 per furnace and we charge 250. So there's no way anyone charges 50.

@@johnbooth1583 that sounds more like a contractor pulled out at the last minute, and they couldn't find one. They don't move the furniture for you?
5 years ago Angie's list was still legit. They sold the company and changed the name to Angie's lead and thats when the company went down hill
Angies list was a horrible example to partner with , they are just out for the buck lol
Quality companies will provide real time video before and after. Good duct cleaning runs about 200-350. No such thing as a coupon deal.
No they don’t no one is doing a good job for 200-350

They told me $4000.
You got to keep your ducts in order.
If I ever own my HVAC I'm stealing this for my company, that's great.
I laughed Erich!! Damnit 😆😆
You mean “keep my ducts in a row?

The contractors I've hired from Angie's list have all been horrible. Leave a bad review and it gets pulled. I will never use Angie again.
