And yes, Johor Bahru is a boring city. during weekend at night, the Marrybrown area are lively with night market and people, but others not really touristy. You need car to travel in Johor Bahru, drive to coast of Desaru for beautiful beach and luxury resorts.

I thought so, the coast and the nature around is probably more interesting but I didn’t had a car. Thanks for the suggestion :)
