I am binge watching these videos.. And honestly every time I can't help but think to myself "this person really deserved this break in life". They all just seem like genuine people making their way through life.
I'm binge watching too! Such a great show and so many great people. This is one of the few things left that hasn't been spoiled by politics. I hope it stays that way! God bless! 😃
I'm binge watching these too. A year after you, but, yeah. I went all the way back to the beginning and I'm watching every one of them. I used to watch this show on PBS, but it's been a decade since I cut the cord to Cable TV, so I was delighted to find these on RUclips. :)
2:57 I love how he was expecting her to say 35 to 45 hundred dollars and his face seems like “wow that’s crazy”. Then it hits him she said 45 *thousand* and he’s speechless
As I scanned RUclips videos of the Road Show and this one jumped out at me. It is something I would buy. Until I heard the price. But I still like knowing things like this exist.
Funny how one hopes the actual value is a large number for the people, but I was as surprise as he was and almost came to tears as he did. Good for him...✌💖
It isn’t worth nearly that much. You can easily search eBay and find these vases and they max out around 2k for the most expensive possible. Recently this brand has lost popularity and 99% of their products on eBay aren’t even selling for over $100. Maybe you could get 2k for this vase but it would not sell fast.
He bought it because he really liked it. And THEN decided he should find out about it. I feel sorry for the folks who sent it to the thrift shop, they obviously had no clue.
The best thing is when people who genuinely like an object find out it's really valuable because they can treasure it rather than sell it. These objects were meant to be used and enjoyed.
@@bobbynicole10 I'm thinking of being like you and commenting on videos. Do you like that as a hobby? Oh, and only saying the dumbest things. Is that how you do it?
Wow! Just think. The person who donated it to the thrift store had no idea what they had and apparently no one at the auction knew the value of it either.
That vase would have trouble selling for over 3k these days. Now a days you can find these vases selling for around 2k on eBay. The brand has completely fallen off in popularity resulting in it also losing almost all value. French brands are the only crystal manufacturers who can demand tens of thousands for their pieces anymore. Lalique and baccarat still have value but sadly brands like Orrefors have gone extinct in value.
Customer: "can i get change for a dollar?" Rick "I'll give ya 47 cents. I'm taking a real risk. That dollar's gonna sit around for a while..." Customer:"..............ok deal." .....awkward handshake......
That is something you NEVER take to Pawn Stars. You take it to a place like Christies or some other auction house that would give it the best possible showing.
It's really nice, but most people can't afford to have $45,000 tied up in a vase. The reasonable thing to do is sell it, and replace it with a vase from Goodwill, or maybe even splurge on a $100 antique vase that you like almost as much.
Orrefors isn’t popular anymore and these can be find on eBay for 2k with a simple search. A lot of brands have completely fallen off recently. Pretty much only a few French brands are popular anymore. It’s hard to even find an Orrefors piece that is selling for over a few hundred now much less 30k it just won’t happen anymore when people will let go of these things for 2k.
Shockingly wonderful news for this man. If his estimate is $35K-$45K and it sold at a median of $40K, he made a 400% gain in his initial investment, and could it be more.

It's stunning, a glass collector like myself I am in love with that vase!
Wouldn't it be just the best feeling in the world to tell people like this when their junk is worth tens of thousands? So much fun.
