Wow, have things changed in Dar-es-Salaam since I was a young boy ! Flew on the old East African Airways DC-3 in 1954 , when I was 7, - Dar to Mombasa. Can't tell you how excited I was to fly for the first time !

We ended up in Zanzibar, and if you want to experience the full chaos of an African airport, that's the place to sample it 🙂. It was a great holiday, wonderful country and lovely people, I'll be interested to hear how you see it.
Thank you for showing off my absolute favorite aircraft flying today...The A220 is gorgeous, an absolute stunner. I never get tired of looking at it, both inside and out, and I can't wait until my favorite airline (jetBlue) starts flying them later this year!

I think some of the East African nations are leading the way, which is the reverse of how it used to be. Happy New Year to you, Racheal and the family. The A220 is such a beautiful aircraft, love it! Another enjoyable vlog of you, thanks! Wished you could try out one airline per African country, that would be so interesting. How long for was your Africa trip alltogether?
C'mon, Noel. You're a Northerner, like me. You know what a Muffin is, and that ain't a Muffin. It's a Bun. Another masterpiece. I really want to try the A220. Maybe in a couple of years when it's safe to travel. But I agree with you, no more than two hours in a narrow body.
The rock that you pointed out in the lake, is natural. All around the lake, on the shores, there are rocks like that, perched like they're ready to fall....especially in the hills surrounding the lake. Different mineral types, worn away by water at different rates. Don't go in the water.......lots of hungry crocs. lol
I think that the A220 is the best regional jet ever built, better than the Embraer E-jets/E2, better than the 717, and better than the CRJ's. Great Job Bombardier!
Which plane would I take on a 5/6 hour flight? To be honest at the moment, I would fly on the back of a pigeon if it meant I could travel again. Great video.

Thanks for sharing. I always enjoy your videos. I just finished watching the video right now. Business does look nice, but I probably wouldnt want to be on it for any flights more than 3 hours. Also bummer no inflight entertainment.
So great to see you able to fly without a mask again! I hope the U.S. will follow Tanzania's lead before much longer. Also I'm glad Bombardier has come up with this modern follow-up to the long line of McDonnell-Douglas and Fokker jets that seat 3-2 in economy (which is probably the closest I'll ever get to experiencing the glorious 2-3-2 of the 767 again). I refuse to call it an Airbus, they simply bought the rights to it from Bombardier, but either way it looks like a great plane that I would be perfectly comfortable in for up to 3 or 4 hours. Maybe more if I knew for sure I could get the 2-side or an aisle on the 3-side, but I'd probably still prefer the Embraer 170/190 where both sides are 2-sides. Also I love how they played the Jurassic Park theme during boarding!
