Got to the Alamodome extra early saw Booker T in the parking lot. I tried not to yell his name but I couldn’t help it I felt like I was 10 years old again! I wanted to go to the pre show just to see him. Seeing him come out in the Rumble made my year!
Always dug seeing BT jumprope backstage. Most of the time the camera shows the talent stretching or curling cables. BT was original in his prep segments.
Top level advice about always being ready so that when an opportunity comes you can take advantage of it. But also hilarious how he’s in character still. I’d he had been able to warm up he would’ve won 😂
Book, I half expected Texas to riot like Canada during the Montreal Screw Job, as they didn't have you in the Rumble very long before you were thrown out over the top rope. Gunther needs to PAY, Booker. You should run up on that fool when he least expects it, and when it absolutely hurts the most. They can't do Harlem Heat like that. I myself have experienced a lifetime of hate just for having a handful of mild disabilities (Autism, Developmental Coordination Disorder, ADHD, Clinical Depression) and receiving assistance from the government (SSDI, Medicare and Medicaid). Ironically speaking, whilst the hateful and prejudice neurotypicals sit there and claim that individuals such as myself continue daily to milk the government for support funds, each and every time I attempt to report major corruption that interferes with my ability to finish my Bachelors of Science in IT (e.g. sexual abuse from the mental health care system; employers who get away with making gun threats to you so that said employer can get away with violating the ADA, etc.), absolutely nothing gets done to protect the civil rights of persons with mental disorders in this country. I'm the individual who often goes for several weeks on end averaging 10-14 hours of sleep for an entire week, working 10001 times more diligently than the neurotypical haters who don't even have to put up with 1/9 of the civil rights obstructions myself or any other mentally disabled person endures in life. And that's why I call these haters foolish - they give so-called justifications for their hate, yet hypocritically circumvent their own argument, not even realizing that they're the lazy ones helping to stymy the progress of the target groups they hate. * Never listen to fools who are unable to even provide a sound argument rooted in common sense. It's a waste of your valuable time.
No offense, Book, but if there was only gonna be one legend in the Rumble this year, I think it should’ve been Great Muta since he’s retiring. Rumble, Hall of Fame, WrestleMania…
That makes zero sense realistically. For one it seems that Book even being in the rumble was a last minute call so not even really planned as “one legend” just worked out that way. But the reason it was cool is because Book was in Texas where he still resides and runs his company. He’s beloved in the state, not to mention wrestling in general, the big crowd reaction he got showed that. Muta probably will end up in the WWE HOF someday as they do with tons of people who didn’t really work in the WWE. But having him as a surprise rumble entrant would’ve been a fart in church. Respect to the dude but he’s never even been in the WWE and made sporadic appearances in WCW. The more casual fan crowd of a WWE event like Royal Rumble probably wouldn’t have truly known who the guy is. That isn’t even meant as an insult but just the reality that the dude has had a long and legendary career but basically all of it in Japan which is a product consumed by a smaller, more dedicated group of wrestling fans. That isn’t the crowd that flocks to the flag events like a RR. It’s also weird to think how that would really even be an honor to the guy. He’s never been in the WWE - their honoring of him has been from his time in WCW from the late 80s. And honestly a lot of the fanbase who do like him would probably be mad if he did this with WWE. They’d be upset that WWE jumped in and took over his send off. Genuinely feels like this makes no sense.
